Levi x Female reader
Levi x Reader Mysterious LoverAfter the previous expedition and having to write reports about it, the Corporal decided that he deserved a break. So, right after dinner, he jumped onto his horse and made his way into town. There was a small cafe that he often visited. He discovered it one day when he and his squad went out to get supplies, and since that day, he went at least once a week since their tea is probably the best he's had (other than his, of course). And he soon found himself going more than once a week, always going after dinner when he would be the last customer and the owner would be cleaning up.Maybe, just maybe... the tea wasn't the only reason he went so frequently. And after about half a year, he realised that it's true he didn't go only for the tea.It was also to see the petite, pretty woman who owned the cafe. To watch her make his tea and try to figure out how it was like he was drinking heaven. To observe how her face always lit up when she would hear the door ring and see him enter the small building. To hear her laugh whenever he apologised for keeping her so late. To see how she thoroughly cleaned everything (because obviously cleaning is the way to his heart). And soon, he found himself not in her cafe, but in her bed. After that, in a church, slipping a ring onto her finger and kissing her longingly, yet softly. Now, in her house, tenderly stroking her swollen stomach.Hopping off of his horse, he tied its reins to a fence and strolled into the cafe he was so familiar with. The ringing of the door, announcing his arrival, brought a grin to her beautiful face without having to turn around. She dropped the broom and swivelled around - her dress flowing with her movement - to face her husband."Levi!" she beamed and rushed towards him, and he caught her in his arms. "I missed you," she said quietly, closing her eyes and snuggling her face into his chest as he had her in an embrace."I missed you, too.""I wasn't able to see you come back from the expedition because the cafe was so busy. I'm so glad you're okay.""Of course. I wouldn't leave you alone in this world.""Will you stay with me tonight?""Yes. Because I finished the paperwork Erwin assigned me and we all have a day off tomorrow.""Okay, then. Anyway, let me get you your tea.""Before that," he started, peeling her face away from his shirt and tilting her head upwards. "I want your lips." There was no hesitation in moulding his lips with hers, cupping her face with both of his hands. It was a chaste kiss and Levi made sure to drag her bottom lip through his teeth before pulling away. "Now, you can go," he told her, playfully smacking her a*s as she walked away, which caused her to softly yelp."Do you want anything with it?""No, thanks," he replied, taking a seat at his usual table. His hues watched her every move and she would glance up at him every now and then, shooting him a small smile. That caused warmth to blossom in his chest, caused his features to soften, caused him to have the urge to smother her face in kisses, caused him to forget about his occupation as a soldier that shouldn't get involved with love. However, love made him stronger and more determined. Having (Y/N) on his mind made his resolve to come back alive stronger than ever. Even more so when he found out that he would be having a child. Even though he was against bringing an innocent human into this cruel world, he was happy upon hearing the news and he couldn't wait to be a father. He only has to wait three more months until he can hold a tiny human.Placing his cup of tea on the wooden surface, she spoke up, "What are you thinking about?""Nothing important... Sit down with me.""I need to finish cleaning.""I'll help you later, so come sit down for now. I haven't seen you in about a week.""Fine."For the rest of the evening, they spoke about their child, about owning a tea shop together when the titans are gone, about how Levi hasn't told anyone about his wife. The only reason he didn't was because he didn't think it was a necessity for them to know. And they would annoy him and want to meet her. He was certain that particular brats would drool over her and he would have to punch them."Why don't you come with me to HQ tomorrow then?" he offered, taking the last sip of his tea and standing up."Who's going to run the cafe?" She followed after him, watching as he grabbed cleaning supplies from the cupboard in the back."That kid, Elias - he's the most responsible out of your workers.""But--""Don't you want to meet my squad? Erwin, Hanji? The other brats?""Yes... Okay, fine, I'll come. It'll be fun.""Good. Now, go home. I'll clean for you and lock up before going home.""Are you sure? I can help you.""It's fine. You should go rest."With a nod, she pecked his lips and passed him the keys before leaving. And as he had said, he cleaned the tables and any other surfaces, he broomed and then, mopped. Once he was done, which took about an hour, he left the cafe and locked it before making his way to (Y/N)'s small house. Entering her room, he noticed that the (H/C)-haired woman was awake. He took off his boots, jacket, straps and looked for something more comfortable to wear. He's definitely left at least one shirt and a pair of trousers. And he soon discovered that he was right, slipping into the clothes prior to getting into bed, tugging his wife towards him."Goodnight, my love," she whispered, snuggling closer to him and he uttered the same words back.~/~(A/N: I'm gonna use 'you' now, instead of 'she')"Are you ready, (Y/N)?" Levi asked as he opened the door of the house, standing at the entrance."Yes, yes. Stop rushing me. Also, I need to go to Elias first before we leave.""Okay. Hopefully, we'll leave before our child gets married.""Shut it, idiot," you said with a frown, flicking his forehead as you both left."I never understand why it takes you so long.""I'm a woman, it's just in our genes."The Corporal only rolled his eyes as you strolled to Elias' house in the radiant sun, beaming down on you, but in a pleasant way. You caught your husband's hand, intertwining your fingers. When you finally reached your destination, you told your employee about how you would be gone for today and wouldn't be back until tomorrow afternoon, so he would be in charge until you come back.He was stammering, which was unlike him, and he kept glancing to the male beside you - Lance Corporal Levi Ackerman, also known as 'Humanity's Strongest Soldier'. Of course, he would be nervous in his presence, however, your company eased the poor boy's nerves a little."You need to stop glaring at everyone like that," you told him as you went to the area Levi left his horse."I wasn't glaring," he argued. "It's just my normal face."Smiling softly, you shook your head as he released his horse from where he tied it. However, neither of you were going to ride it, seeing as how you were six months pregnant, so you definitely should not be riding a horse. And Levi decided to walk beside you, tugging the reins of his horse to follow both of you. Most of the journey was spent in silence since Levi was preparing for all the questions and nagging, while you were eager to meet the people your husband fights alongside with. But you also knew there would be questions and a lot of people gathering around you.And your predictions soon became true when you finally arrived. He left his horse in the stables before you both walked towards the training grounds. Even though there was no training or work to do, scouts were scattered around the area, most likely to relax or play around in the sun. There was a soft buzzing of chatter before everything was quiet upon the soldiers noticing their Corporal walk with a beautiful, pregnant woman by his side."Levi?""Hm?""They're all staring.""Obviously. They've never seen you before and they're probably trying to figure out if you're my spouse or--""OH MY GOSH!!!!! SHORTY! WHO IS THAT?! YOU'VE NEVER MENTIONED THAT YOU HAD A GIRLFRIEND!!!""F*cking hell," he cursed under his breath, already knowing who it was."Hi, Shorty's girlfriend!!!!""Um, hey. Hanji, right?""Yep!""She's not my girlfriend.""You're holding hands--" she stated before glancing down at your hands, noticing the ring on your finger, and gasping so hard that she choked on her own spit. You were pretty sure you saw her soul leave her body for a moment. "YOU'RE MARRIED?!!?!? AND SHE'S PREGNANT!!!""Stop f*cking yelling, Sh*tty Glasses.""SINCE WHEN?!""I've known her for five years, we've been married for two of those years. And she's six months pregnant," he calmly explained, wishing that he wouldn't have Hanji screeching in his ear again."I can't believe you betrayed me like this. How could you hide something like this from me?!""It's not that big of a deal, you fool.""WHAT DO YOU MEAN--" The female with glasses was cut off when Levi slammed a hand onto her mouth, shutting her up."Stop. F*cking. Shouting.""Sorry... But, seriously, this is a big deal. You got married and you're going to be a father. Aww, that means there's going to be a tiny Levi. That's adorable! Well, the child probably won't be that much shorter than you," she snickered and your giggles joined in."Sh*tty Glasses, you better shut up before I take all of your experiment equipment away.""Okay, okay. Anyway, Shorty's wife, what's your name?" she asked and rested an arm over your shoulders, taking you away from the male."(Y/N).""Ahhh, I'm so happy! This is so cute! How did you two meet?""I own a cafe, and Levi loves tea. He claimed that I make the best tea he's tried. He visited every week and we got to know each other, and then... we got married three years later. Also, he's told me so much about everyone here and I can't wait to meet everyone.""You are amazing and perfect and adorable, and I love that Shorty found someone like you."You giggled softly. "Thank you."Hanji was going to say something to you before she turned to the raven. "I'm borrowing your wife for a while. Come on, (Y/N)!" she grinned and gently grabbed your forearm."Where are we going?""To meet the Commander - Erwin Smith - and show off my new best friend."Okay, you already loved Hanji and you agreed that you were now best friends. This was definitely going to be the start of a beautiful friendship."Wait, Hanji!" a masculine voice called, stopping both of you in your tracks."Yes, Eren?" she replied excitedly as he and a few others approached the two of you, and you heard their not-so-quiet conversation."What's this about Corporal being married?""Do you think his wife is this pretty woman?""I never knew he had the ability to love.""Are you stupid? He's not a robot.""Yeah, but he's so emotionless.""Guys, she's pregnant... He's going to be a dad.""I can't imagine Corporal in bed.""Why would you even want to imagine it? That's gross.""Wait, but, imagine a mini Corporal who's always frowning and most likely cursing at everyone. That's funny and annoying.""I think that he and this woman will make an adorable baby.""Yeah, because she's beautiful. And I don't know, I guess Corporal might be alright-looking.""This is so weird.""Anyway... Hi, Corporal's wife!!" several voices greeted and you grinned in return, mentally laughing at their conversation."Hi, all of you. I don't know who is who, but I'm guessing that you're the new recruits: Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha, Connie, Christa, Ymir, Reiner, and Bertolt," you said, and they put their hand up when you mentioned their name so you knew who was who."Before you guys have a conversation," Hanji began, ruffling your hair. "Isn't (Y/N) the best human you've met before?""Uhh, we don't really know her that much," Eren told the Section Commander."But if she puts up with Shorty and is married to him, she should have an amazing personality. Even more so if he willingly decided to marry her.""That's true.""Anyway, continue. Sorry for interrupting.""Hey, (Y/N), what's Corporal Levi like with you?" Sasha asked. "Like is he kind to you? And caring and sweet and soft?""Oh! Is he all lovey-dovey?" Connie inquired before you could even respond to Sasha."Um, I guess he is kind and caring. Sometimes, he can be sweet and soft, but not that much. And he isn't lovey-dovey. But he is loving, and can sometimes be a little bit soppy.""That's so weird!""What's he like in bed?" Ymir spoke up and you arched an eyebrow as the blonde female (Christa) beside her mildly scolded her. "What? I know all these horny idiots are thinking about it as well.""I'm not going to answer your question.""How old are you?" Eren inquired, to which he got scolded by Armin because he shouldn't ask a woman their age, but you brushed it off since you knew they would want to know as much as they can about you."Twenty-nine.""Really? I thought you were younger and I was worried that Corporal was an old pervert," Reiner stated, coming to your side with a smirk and he slung an arm over your shoulder."I can assure you he is not." You tried shrugging his arm off, but he didn't move away. "Could you get your arm off of me, please?""Oi, Reiner. She's a married, pregnant woman. Stop trying to move onto her, you d*ck.""But how was Corporal Levi able to get a woman like this?""I don't know why it's a surprise to you, Reiner. Also, I would appreciate it if you took your arm off of my wife before you get a punishment," a voice from behind you and the male intervened. You already knew it was Levi, so you let out a sigh of relief. "And, Eren, why aren't you wearing a shirt?""Uh, b-because it's hot, sir.""Well, put some clothes on since no one wants to see your pathetic body... Apart from Mikasa."Said female grit her teeth and Armin had to hold her back so she wouldn't punch the raven."Hey, Levi, stop pestering all these kids," you told him."Why? They're all brats.""If you're going to be like this with our child, you're not going anywhere near it.""Do you guys know the gender?" Jean inquired."No. I want to wait and keep it a surprise.""Tch. I don't understand why. You're going to find out sooner or later. I want to know if it's a boy or girl... If it's a girl, I'm leaving you."The sound of skin coming in contact with skin echoed around the area when your hand connected with his cheek. Gasps and murmurs were heard as you crossed your arms over your chest, scowling at your husband."Did she just... slap the Corporal?""Damn, she's one brave woman.""I swear, Levi, one day, you're going to be killed. And it won't be by titans," you growled. To everyone's surprise, Levi didn't seem to be seething. In fact, there was a hint of a smirk on his lips which made your scowl deepen. "Why the hell are you looking at me like that?""Because you're cute when you're angry.""Shut up," you muttered."Hey, guys... Are we sure this is Corporal Levi?" Sasha whispered to the other scouts and they were all silent, seeming surprised."Also, I wouldn't do that if we had a girl," he assured you."Whatever... Hanji, shall we go?""Yes! Bye, everyone~!" Once again, she got ahold of your arm and dragged you into the building. When you reached what you guessed was your destination, the brunette knocked before calling, "Erwin!" and strolling into his office as you trailed behind her."What is it, Han-- Who is this?""(Y/N)... Ackerman.""... Ah, Levi's wife.""Wait... You knew about this amazing human? Did Shorty tell you?""No, he didn't. But I figured he had a mysterious partner.""How?""The sneaking in and out of HQ. His mood became slightly more positive. Sometimes, I would notice the marks on his neck that he tried to hide with his cravat. And some other small things.""Wow. Why did you never tell me?" the brunette pouted."Because I wasn't completely sure. Anyway, sorry, (Y/N). Take a seat." You nodded and approached the chair he gestured to as Hanji stood beside it. The blonde male outstretched his hand for you to shake, so you did. "I'm guessing Levi already told you about me and several others.""Yes. He respects you very much."Erwin chuckled and shook his head. "You don't need to speak so formally."You sheepishly laughed and scratched the back of your neck. "Sorry.""You're completely different to what I expected you to be," the blonde commented."I'm guessing you thought I would be aloof and serious.""Not exactly. Just not timid and cheerful. I'm surprised Levi fell in love with someone who has a completely opposite personality to his.""Even I am," you chuckled softly."And Erwin! Look, look! She's pregnant!""Yes, I can see that, Hanji. Stop speaking so loudly, I can hear you perfectly fine.""That means Levi's going to be a father! I'm so excited!!"Sighing, the Commander closed his eyes briefly before glancing at you. "Anyway, I need to finish some reports. It was nice meeting you, (Y/N).""You, too, Erwin," you beamed and stood up. "Maybe we can talk later if both Hanji and Levi let me out of their sight." He smiled and nodded as you and Hanji took your leave. "Where are we going now?""Mm... To my lab! Actually, no. The chemicals and everything isn't good for you. And it would be too tiring for you if I showed you around HQ. Hmm...""We could just go back outside in the sun.""Okay, if that's what you want to do. How long are you staying, by the way?""I'm going to leave tomorrow afternoon.""Oh, what?" she sulked. "That's too soon.""I know, but I will definitely come and visit again... Also, I just remembered that I haven't met Levi's squad. Where are they?""Probably in the mess hall.""Oh, okay. Can we go meet them? But let's go with Levi because I think he was excited to introduce everyone to me.""Aww, Shorty got excited? I wish I could see the side of him that you see."You chuckled softly as both of you went back outside to find Levi. There he was, sitting under the shade of a tree, eyes closed as his head rested against his hands that protected his hair from touching the trunk."... My love," you spoke softly, placing a hand on his shoulder. Ashen hues stared into your own (E/C) ones before glancing down at your upturned lips. From his peripheral vision, he could see Hanji standing to the side, grinning. "What?""If you're bothered, I'd like to meet your squad.""Sure." He rose to his feet and you hooked your arm with his as you both started to make your way to the building. "Oi. You coming?" he asked, tilting his head over his shoulder to look back at Hanji, who was still standing by the tree. She didn't know if she wanted to go with you two, or allow the both of you to spend time with each other while Levi showed you around. But since he had asked if she was coming, that most likely meant he didn't mind if she came along.Quick footsteps sounded behind you, until the brunette appeared at the raven's side. All three of you arrived at the mess hall, Hanji walking in first and you followed as Levi came behind you. Four heads turned towards you, eyebrows were raised, some were furrowed, while they only had their eyes on you. Shyly, you gave a small smile."Who is this?" Oluo was the first to speak."My wife," Levi told them in a nonchalant tone.Tea was spewed out of mouths, gasps sounded, eyes widened."What?!" they all exclaimed before approaching you, Levi and Hanji."Since when did you have a wife?" Eld inquired."Since more than two years ago.""Why have we never heard of her?""Didn't want brats annoying me. Also, I didn't think it was necessary since people don't need to know about my life.""Aw, I'm so happy for you, Corporal! Congratulations, by the way," Petra beamed."Thank you. Levi, don't you want to introduce us properly?""Right... All of you, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Eld," Levi said, gesturing to the male with a manbun, and you both shook hands.Levi's second in command, you thought, remembering pieces of information your husband had told you."This is Oluo."The one who loves to imitate him."Petra."The only female on his squad, who is kind."And Gunther."Just a normal guy.You had shaken all of their hands and smiled at them, and you could tell that they were still trying to figure out how you were their Corporal's wife."It's so nice to finally meet all of you. Levi's told me so much about you.""Really?" they all grinned."All good things, don't wo--" you were cut off when the raven's hand flew to your mouth, hushing you. Obviously, he wouldn't want any of the scouts to know he was a softy that dearly cared about his comrades. You shot him a teasing look in response to his half-hearted glare as you moved his hand away. The seven of you continued to converse for the next ten minutes before Levi decided that his squad should do something productive, rather than chat, and Hanji had gone to god-knows-where. So, you and your husband left the mess hall and he led you to his office, allowing you to have some privacy."Everyone here is really sweet," you commented, waddling over to the sofa and settling down onto it as the raven followed suit, humming in agreement. "... It'd be crazy if I joined the Survey Corps, isn't it?""I swear to god or whatever is up there, if you join this hellhole, I will kill you before a titan can."You laughed before sighing and staring up at the ceiling, feeling Levi's slender digits interlace with yours. "I won't join, don't worry. But don't you think it would be nice if we worked together, helping humanity? And I don't have to worry about you and don't have to have the fear of you not coming back to me.""(Y/N), no matter what, I'm always going to come back to you. You just continue working at your tea shop, and maybe one day, I'll be there working with you.""... You won't leave me to take care of this child on my own, right?""Not a single titan will get in my way of coming home to you and our child, okay? Don't worry about petty things.""Okay. I trust and love you, Levi.""I love you, too."
Daddy!Levi x Mummy!Reader Patience (AU) {12}January (3rd month of your pregnancy)The sound of gagging woke Levi up, almost immediately, and he knew it was you, so he rushed to the bathroom to find you sitting in front of the toilet, throwing up. With a concerned frown, he approached you and gathered your hair in one hand to hold it back while he soothingly rubbed your back with the other.Normally, he would scrunch his nose up in disgust and leave whoever it was that was throwing up. However, knowing that it was your morning sickness, he didn't feel as grossed out. And he will always be willing to help you, no matter what.Once you were done, you weakly stood up, flushing the toilet before going to the sink to brush your teeth."You okay?" Levi said, and you simply nodded in response. After brushing your teeth, while your husband accompanied you, you both trotted to the kitchen. He had made you sit down on the sofa, not allowing you to do anything as he prepared breakfast for you and your children, who were yet to awaken. However, they had to wake up early since they had schoolSo, after Levi made eggs and bacon, along with tea for you, he went to Eren and Mikasa's room and quietly entered, approaching Mikasa, gently shaking her with the call of her name."Hey. Princess. Mikasa, wake up."She soon stirred awake, shifting in the bed as she rubbed her eyes and yawned before revealing her grey orbs, staring up at her father. "Daddy?""Come on. You need to get ready for school.""I don't want to go," she whined."Get up," he ordered, with a stern yet gentle tone. And she adhered to his order, sluggishly slithering out of bed and walking out of the room to go to the bathroom. He then went to Eren's bed, doing the same. It is usually easier to wake him up since he seems to love going school to see his friends. "Eren, wake up.""Mmm," the young male grunted."Don't 'mmm' me. Get your butt out of bed. You have school," the raven-haired male told him. The next five seconds were completely quiet before the four-year-old suddenly threw himself at Levi, who caught him as Eren giggled. "Stop breathing in my face. Your morning breath is terrible.""You're so mean, Daddy," he pouted before giggling even more as Levi carried him out of the bedroom and to the bathroom, letting him down."When Mikasa comes out of the bathroom, freshen up and then, I'll get you ready, okay?""Okay."Your beloved made his way back to the kitchen to find that you were preparing a cup of tea for him. With a small smile, he neared you and stood behind you."You haven't finished your breakfast. Go sit down," he said, taking the kettle from your hand before continuing to pour the water into the mug you prepared."I'm capable of doing stuff on my own, you know," you stated, liking and disliking the pampering at the same time."I know. But I'd prefer it if you rested.""Baby, let me do things myself. I hate feeling useless. And I'm not even that far into my pregnancy, so I'm able to do a lot of things.""Fine. I'll let you get whatever you crave, so that I can relax," he smirked, and you shot him a brief glare. That's the one thing he has to do.February (4th month of your pregnancy)Other than Hanji and Erwin, no one else knows about your pregnancy. For some reason, you prefer waiting a few months before telling people about it. So, this month you were planning to tell other friends and family, and today, you and Levi were going to tell his mother and your parents. You didn't even want to see your parents, nor talk to them since your family weren't fond of Levi, except for your sister. Levi had told you to treasure family and to try and fix things with them.Whatever. He should dislike them as much you do since they aren't particularly nice to him. But, for some reason, he's an angel that is apparently omnibenevolent.Anyway, Hanji and Erwin volunteered to babysit your kids for today because you didn't want them to go with you to your parents' house since you didn't know what was going to happen. There's most likely going to be a lot of spite, glares and maybe even small arguments (and you didn't want your children to be exposed to that). Therefore, you didn't want your children to go with you.The sound of three knocks reverberated throughout the apartment, and you went to answer it, finding that the brunette and blonde were already here. You greeted them with a smile and let them in. As Hanji was already six months, her stomach was showing. And it made you so excited because she seemed so excited and you knew they were going to be amazing parents."Thank you so much for doing this.""Anytime! It's good practice for the upcoming little one," Hanji grinned. "And I understand that you don't want them to go to your parents'.""Definitely. Anyway, you guys know what to do. Help yourself to whatever if you get hungry.""Okay. Have fun~""I wish," you scoffed before wandering to your bedroom, seeing that Levi was ready. "Let's go?""Yeah."Both of you grabbed whatever you needed and made your way to the front door after stopping at the living room to find that Eren and Mikasa were already all over your best friends."Make sure you two behave, okay? We'll see you later.""Bye, Mama!""Bye, my sweethearts," you smiled. You and Levi left the apartment and strolled out of the building, to the car, where Levi sat in the driver's seat and you, in the passenger's seat. "I don't want to see my parents," you muttered."(Y/N), it's not like you'll be able to hide this from them forever.""I mean, we barely see them. So, if we didn't decide to see them today, we probably would have seen them after this baby is born.""I know they aren't the greatest parents. But I'm sure they still love and care about you.""It certainly didn't seem like that when they found out I was pregnant with Mikasa. They basically chucked me out of the house... But I guess I'm kind of grateful they did because I liked living with you and your mother for a year.""I didn't. I would always think 'does this girl really have to live here?'" he teased."Shut up," you laughed softly, slapping his arm playfully before you rested your hand on his thigh. "... I'm actually really thankful for you, Levi. Sometimes when women get pregnant at a young age, the guy leaves. But you stayed with me, no matter what. And I'm sure I've annoyed you a LOT, so I don't know how you've been so patient."A genuine smile snuck its way onto his lips as he laced his fingers with yours, kissing your knuckles before letting your locked hands rest on his thigh."And I'm going to make sure that you're still going to be annoying me until we're on our deathbeds," he replied, resulting in you giggling once again. "It's-- I don't know. I just love you so much. If I were ever to leave you, it would be because I went to get you food and somehow lost my way home, or because I was kidnapped. If we ever split, I wouldn't be able to bear it. So, that fight we had like last month got me really scared; I thought I was going to lose you.""Shut up. You're going to make me cry," you mumbled, blinking away the tears that gathered at the brim of your eyes. Even though you were normally emotional, your pregnancy hormones made you a dozen times more emotional. And this affected you even more since Levi isn't one to say what he truly feels if it's sappy.A very light chuckle left his lips as he parked the car outside of his mother's house and turned off the car. He faced you and saw that you were desperately holding back tears. He pecked your nose before getting out of the car and you followed suit.Obviously, your time at Levi's mother's house was delightful since she was a perfect human, passing on her admirable characteristics and good looks onto her son. She was elated to hear that you were pregnant again. However, after staying for about an hour, you both decided to leave since you still had to go see your parents. As soon as you stepped into that house, you regretted it. Not because an argument ensued as soon as you and your parents saw each other. It was because you simply had a bad feeling, so you gripped Levi's hand, and he gave it a soft, reassuring squeeze.Surprisingly, there weren't any arguments during your time there. However, they were clearly displeased with the fact that they were going to have another grandchild. So, since you didn't want to be around negative energy, your stay was only ten minutes.Once you were home, you found Hanji and Eren asleep on an armchair (the little boy was cradled in her arms), while Erwin and Mikasa were sprawled out on a sofa (the raven-haired female lay on top of him as his arm lazily rested around her). You smiled at the sight as Levi came to your side, resting an arm over your shoulders. It was surprising to see them sleeping since it was only five o'clock."Should we wake them up?" Levi asked, and you shook your head in response."Let our children sleep," you whispered.May (7th month of your pregnancy)Hanji had the baby, and it was a boy, who looked a lot like his father. They named him Armin as you discovered when you went to visit her today with Levi and your children. Both parents looked very elated and you couldn't stop smiling because you were elated for them. Levi was happy for them as well, but obviously, he barely showed it. And Eren and Mikasa were excited to have a 'cousin' (even though they already had cousins since your sister had two children - Marco and Ymir).Once your visit was over, and you assumed that you were going home, Levi had been driving in a different direction."Where are you going, Levi?" you questioned as you sat in the passenger's seat, while your children were in the backseat."I have a surprise for all of you.""Ice cream?!" Eren squealed."No, not ice cream. It's a secret."You gazed at your husband suspiciously, wondering what the surprise could be. But you couldn't figure it out. So you gave up, making conversation with your family during the drive, which was about twenty minutes.Levi had parked the car on a random road and you looked at him in question, arching an eyebrow."Come on, let's go," was all he said before getting out of the car and helping Eren as you got Mikasa, leading them to the sidewalk. He motioned for you to follow him, and if he wasn't your husband, you would think he was leading you to a trap, or was planning to kill you.He fished something out of his pocket and it made clinking sounds, but he hid the object in his palm. Soon, he came to a halt outside of a lawn, staring up at the house that stood behind the luscious grass. Your eyes slightly widened, realising what it was when he walked down the path to the front door, unlocking it and stepping inside. He looked back at you and your kids, and he saw your grin as you stood there before following him inside. It was beautiful. You loved it. You were so happy. Every aspect of it made you smile as Levi gave a small tour of the house."Eren, Mikasa, this is going to be our new home," the raven told them, crouching down and their faces beamed up before they started to run around. He stood back up and his steel hues stared at you, waiting for you to say something since you've been silent this whole time. "Do you like it?""I love it. So much. Thank you, my love," you said, looping your arms around him and he returned the action."I thought we needed more space because of the new baby, so I started to look for houses, especially ones that I thought you'd like. And I wanted to keep it a surprise for you.""When can we move in?""Now, if we want. I've already bought it.""Thank you so much, Levi.""I'm happy that you like it.""Of course, I do. And the kids clearly do," you said, gesturing to them playing and laughing outside in the new garden.June (8th month of your pregnancy)One of the things that you hated when pregnant, was that you always had to pee. That meant getting up in the middle of the night. And that also disturbed Levi because you would never go back to sleep straight away. Whenever you would lie down, you would crave a snack. So, of course, that meant waking up your husband to get it for you, and he would with barely any complaints, being the darling husband he was."Levi," you whispered, tapping his shoulder as you laid beside him. "Leviii~"A groan sounded and he opened an eye, looking at you and somehow glaring with just a single eye. "What are you craving?" he grumbled before you said anything, sitting up and running his digits through his raven locks."No, you don't need to get me anything.""Then, why the hell did you wake me up?""Because I want you to cuddle with me," you said so innocently with a childish grin that he couldn't even be angry at you. With a small huff, he did as you said and your grin widened, closing your eyes as you felt his hand gingerly glide over your tresses. "I love you, Levi~""I love you, too. Now, go to sleep.""M'kay," you hummed, but you didn't fall asleep just yet. "... Am I ugly, Levi? Like, Hanji is so much better looking than me."He sighed before replying, "No, you're not ugly.""You're lying... Am I fat?""No, (Y/N), you aren't. Can you please just sleep?""You lied again.""If you're just going to accuse me of lying, what's the point of asking me?" he snapped, but he didn't mean to. He was just tired. However, that didn't mean you wouldn't cry. Two tears left your eyes and a small sob escaped you, causing your husband to sigh once again as he gently parted your face from his chest to look at you and brush away your few tears. "I didn't mean to raise my voice. I'm sorry.""D-do you still l-love me?""Of course, I do, sweetheart," he whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead. These were one of the very few times that he would use a pet name for you."Even though I'm not as pretty as Hanji?""Oi. You know that I don't like when you compare yourself to others. You're so much better than what you think.""Thank you, Levi," you mumbled. Another kiss to the forehead before he tugged you closer to him and brought your face to his chest, finally allowing both of you to sleep.July (9th month of your pregnancy)You cursed under your breath and grit your teeth when you were about to get off of the sofa, but soon plopped back down when one of your contractions hit as you clutched onto a cushion, waiting for it to be over. This was another thing you hated about being pregnant."Mama, are you okay?" Eren came to your side, looking at you with a worried glint in his eyes.Taking a deep breath, you spoke, "I-I'm fine, baby. Where's Daddy?""I think he's in the shower.""Oh, okay," you murmured, glad that his showers are quite short, considering that he was a clean freak."Do you need anything?" another young voice questioned, coming from your daughter."No, it's okay."A few minutes went past, and there was no contraction, but it was definite that you were going to go into labour today. When the click of the bathroom door opening sounded upstairs, your two children ran up and dragged him down to the living room to tend to you."What are you brats doing?" he asked, confused as to why they looked so determined and worried."Mama's in pain," Eren answered. And even though that could have meant anything, Levi knew what he meant, causing his eyes to widen and rush towards you."Hey, are you okay? How close are your contractions?" Levi inquired as he kneeled in front of you, scanning you over to make sure that you weren't in discomfort."They aren't that close. It's been like six minutes since my last one.""Okay," he sighed, slightly relieved that you weren't in too much pain. Yet. "I'm going to go get everything ready, okay?""No, wait. I want you to stay with me. Let Eren and Mikasa do it, they'll know what's important.""They're going to think that toys are important and get rid of all the things that I prepared before."You weakly laughed before allowing him to go since he also had to get dressed, seeing as how he only had a towel around his waist. A minute after he left, another contraction came over you, meaning another cushion was strangled."Mama?" Mikasa spoke, walking up to you."Yes, sweetie?" you panted."Where do babies come from?"You groaned, lolling your head backwards. This wasn't something you wanted to talk about right now. "... I don't think this is a time for that conversation.""Why?""Baby, please, listen to Mama," you told her, your patience running thin.Five minutes later, you were in pain again, however, this time, Levi was by your side and he gave you his hand. He was basically used to you crushing his hand every time you had a contraction since he's been through it for two (soon to be three) births. And he doesn't complain since you obviously go through a lot more pain."They're getting closer," you muttered, referring to your contractions as you loosened your grip on the raven's hand. "When they're about four minutes apart, we have to go.""I know. Is there anything I can do?"You shook your head. "No. Just don't leave me. Distract me, please.""We're going to have another daughter. That most likely means another child whose favourite parent is going to be you.""Don't say that, baby. Mikasa loves you just as much as she loves me.""I don't care, to be honest. Because if they're closer to you, I don't need to deal with any girl talk sh*t, or drama."You smiled. "Well, since your Eren's favourite, I'm relying on you to teach him to be a gentleman. And you're going to have to deal with boy talk.""Yeah, that's easier, though. I'll just tell him all the good porn sites and--""I'll f*cking murder you, Levi.""You know I'm just teasing you," he smirked. "... His friends are probably going to be the ones to do that for me." You slapped the back of your husband's head and scowled. "I'm saying the truth.""And what friend introduced you to it?" You arched an eyebrow."I was the friend that showed people. God, I was one horny teenager," Levi murmured."Disgusting."He scoffed. "Don't act innocent, Miss I'm-the-most-perverted-person-you'll-meet. You seemed so naïve and pure at first, but when I got to know you, I don't what happened.""To be honest, I don't what happened either. It was probably because of Hanji.""No. You're definitely a lot more dirty-minded than her.""Oh, yeah. Mikasa asked where babies come from, so we're going to have to have that conversation.""Sh*t. I'm not ready for that.""I know she's eight, but I'd rather tell her it properly in a couple of years. So, hopefully, she just forgets about it this time.""And if she doesn't forget?""Then, we'll give her a very vague answer.""Not that stork sh*t.""No, not that--" you laughed, shaking your head before you cut yourself off when a small, choked scream left the depths of your throat and you dug your nails into Levi's hand, screwing your eyes shut. This contraction was longer than the previous ones, however, there was still time until you should leave to go to the hospital."I think we're going to have to leave in less than ten minutes," he stated. He expected a response from you, but there was only silence. Not even a nod. However, there was a sniffle as you lay your head on his shoulder. Frowning, he slipped his shoulder from under your head and took your chin in a gentle grip to turn your head in his direction. "What's wrong?""... I don't think I can do this again," you sobbed, averting your eyes from him."Hey, come on. Look at me," he told you, and you reluctantly did so, finding the reassurance that you needed in his hues. "Everything is going to be okay, my love. You did so well with Mikasa and Eren, and this one is going to be the same. I'm going to be there with you the whole time. I know you can do this."You were still crying, but you were also smiling before you hugged your beloved, and he returned the action, holding you tight and close as he pressed a kiss to your cheek.Just as you parted from the embrace, the sound of the doorbell echoed throughout your house. You shot Levi a questioning look as he stood up to answer it."Who is it?" you asked, wiping your tears away."I called my mother to stay with Mikasa and Eren," he stated, raising his voice since he had left the living room. You heard her sweet voice before you could hear nothing but the pained sounds that left your mouth when you had another contraction. Levi rushed to you, comforting you. This contraction lasted about a minute, which meant that Levi's hand was being crushed for a minute. But it also meant that you should be going to the hospital now."Levi... we need to go now," you panted softly. He nodded, helping you to stand before he left to get everything as you glanced at Kuchel, who entered the living room, seeming worried for you. "Hi, Kuchel," you smiled. "Thank you so much for staying with them. I'm sorry if it inconveniences you.""No, not at all, darling. You should worry about yourself."You nodded as you noticed Levi coming back. He helped you slip on your jacket and he held your maternity bag in one hand, and your hand in his other."We're going to go now. Mikasa and Eren should be fine, just make sure they don't burn the house down or anything," Levi told the older woman."Of course," she laughed softly. "Good luck.""Thank you... Come on, let's go."~/~Several hours later, you held your baby girl in your arms, smiling down at her. Levi was by your side, feeling extremely happy since he was beginning to miss having a baby in the house. She was so beautiful and perfect."She's amazing, Levi," you whispered, leaning your head against his shoulder. He hummed in agreement, kissing your scalp. He forgot how overwhelming the happiness was whenever he had his newborn baby in his hold."We agreed on Sasha, right?""Yes... Welcome, Sasha Ackerman."
Daddy!Levi x Mummy!Reader Lovers Quarrel (AU) {11}"I don't want to f*cking hear it!" you growled, barging past your husband that you were currently arguing with. He took hold of your elbow, preventing you from walking away. "Let go of me, Levi. I don't want your sh*tty hands on me," you told him in a dangerously low voice, trying to snatch your arm from him, but his grip only tightened."I'm not letting you go until you let me explain myself.""I don't want to hear any of your lies! Just let me go!""F*cking listen to me, woman!" Levi snapped, tugging on your arm to jolt you towards him. "I don't want to fight in front of our children. Let's go to our room.""I'm staying right here. I don't want to hear what you have to say because nothing will explain what you did. Now, let go of me," you commanded, trying to keep your voice calm even though your body felt as if it was on fire. Your heart was hammering against your chest, your nails dug into your palms which engraved crescents into your skin, your face was a red hue, and your eyes were lit with anger and heartbreak."Fine," he decided, releasing you from his grasp and you turned your back towards him, crossing your arms over your chest as you held back your tears. You didn't know what to do. The only plan in mind was to storm out of the apartment and go to Hanji and Erwin's house. Or maybe your sister's. Maybe even a hotel. Just somewhere away from Levi. And you were extremely close to doing just that if he touched you one more time. "Will you let me talk now?""You can talk, but I'm not going to believe a single word you say.""Well... then, this isn't going to be fixed.""Fine with me," you spat, even though you were on the verge of tears. "You can go to your precious Petra." There was so much spite in your voice, especially when you uttered the last two words, walking away from him and towards the front door."Where are you going?""None of your f*cking business.""(Y/N)--""Until you fix yourself up, don't bother trying to contact me," you told him as you slipped on shoes and a jacket, grabbing your home and car keys, along with your purse and phone."You're not going anywhere." He frowned, approaching you and pushing a palm against the door when you were about to open it."Let go," you snarled, pulling harder on the door, allowing you to leave and quickly shut the door behind you. However, it was soon opened again and the call of your name sounded just as you entered the elevator, the doors slowly closing. That's when you let the moisture spill from your eyes. It wasn't only a few, it was several that probably won't stop falling for a long while.Plopping down into the driver's seat of your car, you decided to stay at a hotel since you didn't want the company of people, even if they were Hanji or your sister. All you wanted was to escape and have some alone time, and depress in your own company. But you didn't drive away yet since your vision was blurred from tears and it would be a terrible decision if you drove like this. You just couldn't believe that Levi did something as awful as that. Not only did he lie to you at first, but he tried to lie to you when you confronted him. So, you concluded that for today, you would cry as much as you desired. And maybe tomorrow or the day after, you would call someone to get some advice since you didn't know what to do.After a few minutes (maybe more), you wiped away your tears and held them back with all your strength before driving away.Pregnancy hormones were not good for this situation. It made you react more emotionally than usual, however, you were certain that you didn't overreact with Levi since what he did was unacceptable.Though, now all you wanted was to hug him as he comforts you and reassures you that he would never do anything like that again.Mood swings were honestly the worst and confusing as hell. Why would you want to seek solace in the person that caused you distress?Upon reaching a hotel, you looked into the rear-view mirror and made sure that you didn't look like a mess. You got all your things and stepped out of the car and into the cold before you were soon enveloped in warmth when you entered the building. You hoped that they would give you a room, despite not booking one in advance. Well, it wasn't like you were planning to stay in a hotel tonight before the whole fiasco.Fortunately, they did, so you thanked them and made your way up to your room. As soon as the door closed, you dropped onto the plush bed. You were in need of some wine, however, since you were pregnant, you obviously couldn't have that. With a sigh, you shrugged off your jacket and kicked off your shoes before properly lying down in the bed, under the covers. You didn't know what to do. There was no one you could (or wanted) to talk to.Well, that's what you thought before your phone rang in your purse. You hoped it wasn't Levi because you needed some space. It was Hanji.Levi most likely turned to her and Erwin for help, seeing as how they were your closest friends. With some hesitance, you answered the call and put it on loudspeaker. "Hello?""Hi, (Y/N)," she greeted. "I just wanted to call and see if everything is okay.""Don't try it. I know Levi must've spoken to you. And, as much as I love talking to you, Hanji, I really don't want to talk about it right now. I just need some time to think.""But, you can't actually believe that--""Hanji. Please. I need some space and alone time. I'm sorry.""No, no, it's okay. I understand.""Hanji, let me talk to her," a male voice, which was obviously Erwin's, spoke. "Hello, (Y/N).""Hey, Erwin. Like I said to Hanji, I don't want--""I know. And I won't force you to talk about it. I'm going to let you think about it, but how about we talk tomorrow?""Day after tomorrow.""Fine. So, where are you right now?""At a hotel.""Is it okay if I come in person to speak with you?""Uh, sure. I'll just text you the address.""Okay, thanks. Make sure to get a good night's rest.""I'll try... Thank you, Erwin," you hummed, letting a small smile rest on your lips. "Goodnight.""Goodnight. Bye," he said before cutting the phone.Feeling a little more calm than before, you decided to push everything to the back of your mind for now, and get some sleep because you were very tired after today.~/~After you had breakfast in a nearby café, you returned to your hotel room, only to lie there on the bed and do nothing. It was still Christmas break, so you didn't have work. When you thought about your children, who didn't have school, you suddenly started to miss them. But, you were not going back to that apartment, and the only other way you could contact them was through calling Levi, so you weren't going to do that either. Finally pulling you out of your boredom, a couple of knocks sounded at your door. Expecting Erwin and Hanji to be there, you were shocked when you saw Isabel and Farlan - both of them smiling at you."Hey. What are you guys doing here?" you questioned before inviting them inside."Erwin asked us to talk to you because him and Hanji are going to go and talk to Levi," the male explained."Oh, okay. Well, make yourselves comfortable." You and Isabel sat on the bed, while Farlan settled into a chair that faced both of you. With an inaudible huff, you spoke up, "So, are you here to say that I'm being a b*tch?""What? No, of course not!" Isabel exclaimed, shaking her head. "We barely know what happened and we wanted to know, so that we can help you and Levi. We don't want you guys splitting, especially since you have two children."Neither of them knew about your pregnancy, and you weren't planning on telling them now."When I tell you, will you guys tell me if I'm being irrational or stupid, or anything like that?""I'm sure you weren't, but let's hear it, anyway.""Okay, so, the other day, when Levi was at work, I called him, and it sounded like he was stressed. I wanted to see him to help him, so I suggested that we have lunch together with the kids. He refused because he said he had a lot of work, but I wanted to go out anyway, so I decided to go out and have lunch with Eren and Mikasa. But that was ruined because I saw him and Petra having lunch together at the same place him and I would usually eat at. I didn't confront him until he came home, and that's when disaster struck.""Oh, sh*t. (Y/N), I'm sorry," the female with pigtails muttered, wrapping an arm around you as you held back the tears."Wait. But Levi would never dare to cheat. He loves you too much to do that. And as a childhood friend of his, I know how serious he takes loyalty. There have been other times when women come onto him, but he never reciprocates," Farlan reasoned. "I'm sure it was a friendly lunch."You rolled your eyes. "Then, why would he lie to me and rather have lunch with her? Even if it was 'friendly', he should know that I don't want him to have contact with Petra. I don't like being that controlling, possessive person because I want to trust him. I don't care if he has female friends. It's just because it was Petra of all people. He knows our history.""Did you let him explain himself?""... No. But, what explanation would have been suitable? 'It wasn't what it looked like'?""There could be many reasons why he was having lunch with her. And I understand that you aren't a good terms with Petra, but I assure you that Levi wouldn't cheat on you. Even more so if it's someone you dislike. I don't even think that he even likes her as a friend, she's just an old acquaintance.""Even then, I can't wrap my head around the fact that he blew off lunch with me to eat with her.""(Y/N), honestly, it's best to talk to him. But, we should wait for Erwin to tell us what happened on that side."When Erwin and Hanji had appeared at the front door of the apartment, Levi simply arched an eyebrow at them. Hanji basically invited herself in before Levi even said anything, Erwin following after shaking his head in disappointment of his wife."We came to talk about you and (Y/N)," the brunette informed the raven, who sighed, letting a sad expression flicker across his features for a second. "We want to fix things.""And how do you suppose doing that?""I don't know. Go with the flow, see what we can do. But first, we need to know what happened because you didn't explain it very well the other night."He nodded, watching as they both sat next to each other at the dining table. Levi noticed that Eren and Mikasa were in the living room, which was adjoined to the kitchen."You two, go to your room. Don't even think about eavesdropping," he ordered, and they did as their father said. He sat down opposite them, acknowledging their questioning glances, causing him to sigh once again. "Two days ago, I was kind of stressed at work. And (Y/N) could obviously tell that I was when she called me because she offered that we have lunch with Mikasa and Eren. I said no because I had too much work to do. But, I still needed to eat, so I went out to get lunch from the closest café. However, Petra happened to be there and she asked if I wanted to have lunch with her. Before I could refuse, she already asked a waiter for a table for two. I'm guessing (Y/N) was planning on having lunch at the same place, but she saw me with Petra. And she didn't say anything until I came home.""Okay, wow. Levi, you're in the wrong," Hanji said, frowning. Obviously, your best friend would take your side."Hold the f*ck up. I didn't do anything wrong. (Y/N) didn't even let me explain what happened. She just accused me of cheating, which I would never even think about doing.""Yeah, but you should've got up from that table and order your food to take away.""Could've, would've, should've. It's not Levi's fault, neither is it (Y/N)'s. It was just a misunderstanding.""A misunderstand caused by L--""Hanji, I will send you to Eren and Mikasa's room," Erwin told her, hushing her. "You're being too biased here. Anyway, Levi, what happened when you got home? Did the argument start straight away?""Kind of. She asked me if I had a nice lunch and was doing that sneaky sh*t, trying to get me to tell her what happened.""And did you?""I did. I told her how I had had lunch with Petra, but I couldn't even finish talking since she shouted before I could say a single explanation. I understand that it looked like I was cheating, but she should know that I wouldn't. And she should let me talk.""I see. Well, we're just going to have to somehow get (Y/N) to talk to you. But I'm going to say that you should tell Petra that you're happily married and not interested.""If I see her again, I will. But I don't f*cking understand how she could even think that I would cheat on her.""You have to take her feelings into consideration, especially because she's now pregnant. And she probably feels self-conscious, so thinks that she isn't attractive after getting pregnant. So, show her that you admire her in any state that she's in.""You know I'm not good at that sh*t. But if it means that it'll make things better, I'll try.""Good. Now, since I made Farlan and Isabel talk to (Y/N), I'm going to call and ask how it went," Erwin announced, leaving the room to go somewhere more private."Hey, Levi?""What?""Your eyes are kind of puffy... Were you crying before?"He scoffed. "No.""Shorty~ You're so sensitive.""Tch.""To be honest, if I was in a similar position, I would be bawling my eyes out. So, it's okay that you showed feelings.""I wasn't crying.""You can't lie to me. There are also tear stains on your shirt.""...""Aww! So you did cry!" she exclaimed, standing up to round the table and embrace him."Get off of me, Four Eyes.""Fineeee~"The blonde male came back into the room and Levi looked at him expectantly."They spoke to (Y/N), things went well, but she still wants some space. She said to give her about a couple of days, but she will listen to you when she comes back.""I'm not f*cking waiting a couple of days. What hotel is she staying at?""Levi, you shouldn't force it. If she said she needs space, it probably means that she needs to calm down. Otherwise, it might end up being another argument if she doesn't think she's ready to talk yet.""Tch. Fine. I'll wait.""Okay. I guess we're going to head out, then.""Wait, Erwin..." Hanji stopped him. "I want to stay with Mikasa and Eren for a while. And since you're going out with friends, you can pick me up when you're done?""Yes, okay. I'll see you later," he said, pecking her lips. Levi walked him to the door before closing it and going back to the kitchen."I messaged you the hotel's address and what room she's in. Go now," the female with glasses told the short male."What?""Go talk to (Y/N) now. I know Erwin said to wait, but it would be more romantic if you went to get her. I'll stay with the kids for you."Levi has never been so grateful for Hanji in his life. "Thank you, Hanji.""You're welcome," she grinned as he rushed to leave.Less than twenty minutes later, he was standing outside of your room, fist raised in the air before gently connecting with the door. Seconds later, it opened and you stood in front of him, surprise written on your face."Levi... what are you doing here?"He widened the door and brushed past you as you closed the door and turned around."(Y/N), please, let me explain. Everything."Reluctantly, you nodded, listening to what he had to say. You kept your questions to yourself and they were unknowingly answered by your husband, who seemed so devastated.Once he had explained every little thing, leaving nothing out, he stepped closer to you, cupping your cheek with one hand before tucking a few of your locks behind your ear."Do you finally understand that I would never cheat on you? Even if you gave me permission for some reason, I would never. I only want you, no matter what you think. Just please, if there's a next time, which I hope not, let me explain myself. And never accuse me of cheating." His voice was so soft and pleading - it made you feel slightly guilty for not listening to him in the first place."I'm sorry, my love, for not listening and trusting you. Even though I knew you wouldn't cheat, I couldn't figure out why you would have lunch with her, instead of me.""That was the sh*ttiest lunch I had. And the sh*ttiest sleep the last two nights, and sh*ttiest breakfasts. The kids missed you as well, just after two days."You smiled, edging closer to him to lean your forehead against his. "I'm so sorry. I love you, Levi.""I love you, too."Your lips soon moulded with his and you gripped onto his locks as his hands roamed your figure. It got heated very quickly when your feet stumbled towards the bed and you were softly pushed onto the mattress, with Levi towering over you.Needless to say, you had spent another night at that hotel, meaning that Hanji (and soon after, Erwin) were babysitters for longer than thought. Hanji half-expected that to happen. Well, what else would happen at a hotel, where a quarrel was solved between two lovers?

Home in Your Hands [Titan!Eren/Reader]Summary: Set within an AU where the reader is a survivor of the Quinta district--one of the districts on wall Maria that was left abandoned after its fall--and Eren has been in his titan form for so many years after going AWOL that he's almost forgotten how to be human, but decides to act as the reader's guardian after finding them. Each chapter stands on its own about the adventures, trials and challenges for this duo, and do not inherently need to be read in a particular order. You can read the entire series on AO3 here! | Follow my Attack on Titan writing blog on tumblr-The rain hasn't let up for hours. It's annoying, but there's very little that you can do to shield yourself from the cold drops that manage to collect through the saturated canvas above your head and fall as if in spite alone for you to dare challenge mother nature. Still, at least you're not wholly unprotected by the downpour, and of course the thick canopy even farther above your head does something to shield some of the icy droplets. It's not a perfect existence, making a life in the forest so far from where your journey of isolation began, but there are certainly plenty of blessings to make up for the challenges.Being alive is certainly one. Breathing, still able to wake up each morning with the knowledge that you didn't die to the clutches of starvation, dehydration or--well, of course, the hungry maw of a titan. You contemplate on that enough to distract yourself from the pitter-patter of cold raindrops sinking through your makeshift cover and falling on your head, then tickling down your scalp and neck. Distract yourself from how cold you feel, with a chill having worked it's way to the bone. Hunger is the only thing you can't quite ignore, gnawing on your abdomen and thoughts alike with equal discomfort, but all you allow of yourself is to flick a gaze towards the half-covered rucksack of old ODM gear that had saved your life as many times as it endangered it.It is barely functional on the best days, after so many months of not being repaired or refueled by a proper depot. The hooks had a hard enough time digging into the thick bark of the giant trees--you could only imagine how horribly they'd fail now that they were slick with rain. You might be able to lower yourself down onto the forest floor, but what then? You counted at least five small titans roaming about in the last several hours, and you'd not last even a minute against them without the advantage of height that your makeshift treehouse afforded you. These thoughts continued to dwell for a few moments, but we're not allowed anymore time to fester into anguish--a sound of footsteps, deep and heavy, appeared at the edge of your senses.A titan. For any other poor soul, the sound of such a massive presence would be a signal of approaching doom. Something even of an unwavering force of nature, like a storm that threatened to howl--only this force of nature often has bloodstained teeth and a penchant to rip roofs off with hands rather than winds. But you were not such a poor soul, and neither this approaching force of nature seeking for your demise. Though it was hard to make out a defined set of features through the thicket of trees, a familiar face stepped through them, approaching your hiding spot with extreme familiarity with where it sat within the shadows of the trees. And upon it's face, behind a shaggy mop of dark hair, a set of gentle green eyes seemed to soften upon seeing you unmoved from where you'd been that morning."About time you get back," the words fall easy and was from your lips, as if you aren't talking to a massive beast who could have easily snapped you between two fingers. With a sigh, you stand and step towards the edge of the platform, arms open as if for a hug. "I was starting to get worried about you, big guy."The titan could have eaten you then and there--that's what most of them would do, and that's what anyone would expect to happen. But this one--the one that called himself Eren and had taken to protecting you for too many months to count--simply leans his face forward enough to nuzzle against the front of your body like an oversized puppy. And he purrs. You never thought such a sound even possible for a titan to make, but he rumbles all the same against your comparatively tiny form. It's a familiar greeting from him. He feels so pleasantly warm to the touch, you are almost disappointed when his face finally pulls away to reveal a wide maw of gleaming, lipless jaws. Despite not being able to make a worthwhile expression in the same way that you can it's not too hard to read the look that all but glimmers in his gaze."Did you find something out there?" You find yourself asking, even though you know he can't do much to reply to you--it had taken weeks before even learning the titan had a name, and that was only because he's managed to messily scrape it into the dirt, a massive series of trenches that spelled 'Eren'.But he seemed to understand you well enough.Eren rumbled, then slowly raised a closed fist which he unfurled to reveal a raincoat a half-smashed container that read in scratched letters 'MILITARY RATIONS'."Holy shit," you don't even think before you're clamoring onto the beast's open palm, rain falling openly onto you. "Where did you find this stuff so far from the wall?"You don't expect a fluent answer--the question right now is merely rhetorical, simply to fill the air with sound and words, which alone seemed to make Eren happier. You never knew titans could get lonely. But Eren is, in all fairness, a very unique titan.By the time you're back on the platform proper, the raincoat is already wrapped around your shoulders. It's wrinkled and old from years of disuse and neglect, but it functions enough for your needs--the rations too, cans completely unopened within the larger package, enough to last you for a while."Did you find a supply cache?"Eren shakes his head, though his ears twitch in what you've learned is amusement."Abandoned town? I suppose there's a couple nearby..."The titan looks at you, contemplating the words, and then slowly nods his head--close enough of an answer. The details didn't really matter to you anyway. Food in your belly, and something to keep you from getting even more wet. Another bounty that the titan Eren has brought back to you, even after he'd done a lot to get you out of the Quinta district after it had been overrun. One fateful meeting. Just one decision had left you out in the open, face to face with what you thought was death.Eren is a titan, that much is obvious, but he treats you like you're fragile. Like a doll, a pet, and it's equally obvious he knows what your needs are as a human. Even though it's been more than a year since he'd found you, you weren't quite sure what to think--he is a walking enigma, a beacon of confusion that went against everything you knew about titans.Suddenly, there's something pressed against your back. It takes a second to pull from your thoughts to realize the pressure as Eren's index finger, gently encouraging you forward and into his open other hand lined up to the edge of the platform. After a few wobbly steps that leave you almost falling into the beast's palm (and a concerned rumble from above) you find yourself kneeling beneath Eren's gaze. His flesh is characteristically warm beneath your knees."Something you wanna tell me, big guy?"Eren purrs, and strokes a broad finger up and down the center of your back. He moves after a moment, slowly lowering his body until he's sitting with his back against the gargantuan tree trunk that compared to him almost look normal-sized. From there, he cups one hand over the other, shielding you from the rain as he brings you up and closer to his face.It doesn't take very long for you to realize what he's doing. After spending several hours in the icy rain, you're certainly not going to complain either, even if you were still getting used to being held and manhandled a little like a child's beloved doll.He nuzzles you, gently, the bridge of his nose bumping against the front of your body. The normally-uncomfortable temperature of a Titan's body now feels so perfect, warm and safe against your sopping clothes and icy skin."Thank you," you whisper, unsure if the titan can hear you.Evidently he can well enough, as he rumbles again in answer before the noise dies down into a low, lingering purr that eventually lulls you to sleep, safe and warm in his grasp.
Old Nightmares [Titan!Eren/Reader]Home in Your Hands: Old NightmaresSummary: Recently saved from your abandoned district of Quinta after the fall of Wall Maria, you and a strange titan named Eren try to find a place to call home for the both of you. Unfortunately when he leaves you alone to search the local land of a farmhouse, you realize that you never really left Quinta entirely behind--and some of that trauma is still fresh and crimson. You can read the entire series on AO3 here! | Follow my Attack on Titan writing blog on tumblr-He was only gone for a minute.Just a minute.Perhaps not even long enough for you to take in the sight of the entire valley from atop the decrepit roof he left you to wait upon. After all, it’s not as if you felt wholly unsafe from where you stood—two stories up, solid, and you couldn’t even recall seeing another titan since the previous morning. For all intents and purposes, you were as safe where you stood on someone’s forgotten house as you had been in the palm of your impromptu-guardian’s hand. There didn’t seem to be a single reason for you to be worried when he left you there, promising with an nonverbal purr that he would return; over the last few months, you’d learned how to interpret the strange titan’s form of communication. Though rudimentary, he seemed intelligent enough to understand the tactical advantage of scouting ahead, especially without you atop his shoulder to attract the attention of any other titans he might have otherwise come across in the local area. And that was how he’d left you this time, safe enough from harm’s way with enough height from the ground that you couldn’t be easily grabbed or ambushed by anything less than a titan of equal or greater height—and those were somewhat rare in the western provinces. Most of them had long-since traveled farther inward, towards Wall Rose—a boon for you if nothing else.Perhaps your boots were more worn than you realized. Perhaps the shingles lining the rooftop had deteriorated. Perhaps the recent rain had left the surface slick, or perhaps—It didn’t matter.By the time your mind could catch up with the rush of motion, your feet had already slipped out from beneath you. And as they slipped, so did everything else follow. You tumbled down, the shingles slipping out and falling apart from the decrepit roof like a line of dominos, carrying you with them as they tumble off the side of the roof and down to the unforgiving earth below.Only you don’t fall to solid earth. Instead, after feeling a brief instance of open air and weightless feeling of freefall through your adrenaline-filled body, a soft warmth is what meets you instead. While it dampens the fall enough that you’re not immediately aware of shattered bones, the impact yet echoes painfully through your entire form. Tumbling head-over-heel, you eventually roll to a stop.Awareness slowly returns, muffled by the shock. Then your eyes open, and the pain starts to fade into existence enough to feel it proper.“Fuck,” you mutter, blinking dirt out of your eyes as you try to take a quick stock of your situation and injuries. Bruises and scrapes, but you get to your feet well enough—so no broken legs.It wasn’t the first time you’d fallen from such a height, but all the previous times had been planned for and in extremely dire circumstances. This time, it’s due to your own stupidity and short-sightedness, forgetting the simplest facts of survival as simply making sure to watch where you stepped.Could never be sure what buildings would hold up when they’d been neglected for so many years. You are lucky that the fall had been broken, or else you’d—Wait. What broke your fall?A surge of horror suddenly fills your mind and body as the attention shifts from idle thoughts to the cold, sharp moment in front of you. And when you lift your eyes up towards the building you’d just fallen from, the answer to your question stares straight back at you with wide, hollow eyes, and a half-opened jaw of bloodstained teeth.No.The titan had been small enough, idle enough to be missed within the overgrown bushes working up the side of the farmhouse, but big enough that its body had broken your fall. And now, awoken from its trance, the beast gazed upon you with a vacant look of hunger, the same that had haunted your nightmares ever since you’d been freed from Quinta’s walls. All of your cadet training felt so distant. Useless. Even then, all you had was a half-broken ODM set with almost no gas and your blades long-since broken and rusted away. The beast tilts its head at you, as if to confirm that you were standing there, bruised and battered but still very much alive—a meal all but served up. It takes a step, feet dragging against the dirt that only served to hammer the feeling of terror even farther into your chest.No.It takes another step. Then another. And then you snap out of it, pulling your thoughts from old nightmares and back into keeping your present self as alive as physically possible. Of course, the first instinct is to reach for the trigger handles at your hips—while you didn’t have very much gas to use, it was certainly enough to make a quick getaway. That’s why you had kept them, after all, despite the fact that you had no way nor reason anymore to actively try to take out a titan.Survival over glory, after all.But it isn’t until you aim the hook and squeeze your finger over the trigger that your heartbeat finally goes silent.Click.You squeeze it again, and again, and again. Each time there is an audible click from the equipment, but nothing more. No hook shooting out, no sudden pull on your body to move you away from certain death. No sudden feeling of relief.NO.“N-” you can barely get a word from between your lips at first, shaking as they are, fluttering as quick as your heartbeat. “No! No no no don’t jam on me now!”It didn’t make sense. It didn’t seem fair. One moment you had been perfectly safe, content even, and thinking about how your luck had turned around for the better at last—after so many months of fending for yourself in that abandoned, isolated hellhole—and suddenly you’re just another weak little human again watching your death shuffle closer and closer to you.You need to run. You have to run. But even then, your legs are frozen, your mind ablaze with multiple options and even more horrible endings to those options. Though the titan seemed barely able to walk, you’d seen how easily they could pounce the very moment their prey decided to flee. Like a wolf, springing forth with a speed that seemed wholly impossible for their size and tearing their hands into the unfortunate soul that happened to come within their sightline. You can’t even tear your eyes away as it gets closer, mind running faster than you can try to stop it.How many people has it already eaten?Had it eaten the original inhabitants of this house? Why aren’t you trying to run?Why won’t your legs move?Why?-In that moment, all you can do is scream. The deafening sound fills your ears and aches in your throat, until your lungs burn and your entire body is shaking so bad that you can hardly stand—and even then, you can’t move. Can’t run. It feels almost like it did last time, like before—in Quinta—only you have less of an excuse to cower when you’re not otherwise drowning in ice-cold water. This time, fear is the only thing paralyzing you.But it’s enough. As the titan at last is close enough to reach out, you feel the tips of it’s fingers start to encircle your shoulders—and all you can do is shut your eyes in a childish attempt to hide it, as if the tears hadn’t already left the world a blurry wet mess of colors. The heartbeat in your chest has gotten so loud, pounding rhythmically in your ears, your body, your feet—And that’s when you open your eyes, realizing that the sound isn’t your heartbeat. Before you even have the chance to open your eyes fully, Eren has already all but kicked the other titan away from you. Having barely been lifted a foot or so off the ground, the fall back to it does little more than painfully put you on your ass. But even the pain doesn’t distract you from the sight. The sight of Eren completely ripping apart the other beast, limb from limb, until thick steam wells up from the ground where all the blood and viscera has spilled at his feet. This is different from how you’d normally see him take out other titans—he’s normally efficient and quick, either gouging out the nape of their neck or sinking his teeth into the soft flesh with relative ease. You’d never seen a titan kill another with such human-like intelligence to their weak spots, let alone simply seeing one titan killing another. But Eren is a strange case. A curious case. And for once, he’s killing like he hates the other one. As if he’d utterly lost control of himself and his strength, ripping into flesh, muscle and sinew as if the other titan would regenerate from even the smallest scrap.Like a ravenous, blood-thirsty titan that he was.A monster. It takes a few seconds for you to realize Eren kneeling in front of you. You can see the crimson staining various spots on his body, slowly vaporizing into the air like the rest of the corpse behind him. In pieces. You’re still shaking a little bit when you lift your eyes up towards his face. He’s watching you warily, though not staring at you—no, instead he’s looking across you, from one limb to the other, head to toe.Checking for injuries. You’d feel equally touched and awed by such a complex act of intelligence and compassion if the sense of terror and adrenaline wasn’t still filling your veins with ice-cold reality. For all that you had done, all the days you’d survived, you still froze when looking into the empty, hallow eyes of certain death. Nothing’s changed since Quinta; the screams of your countrymen haunt the back of your mind with an equal horror as the faces of all the titans who had laid siege to the district all those months after Wall Maria. And, if it’s only for a moment, Eren’s face feels like one of them.He reaches a hand out towards you—probably to pull you back onto his shoulder or simply to be safe within sight—but all your mind can see is a monster reaching out to you again, with hallow eyes and a bloodthirsty yearning that could never be sated by all the thousands upon thousands of lives lost between those gleaming teeth.Irony is as fickle as it is cruel, because that is the one moment that you are able to move. To step back, arms pulling up against your chest, make yourself small and limbs harder to grab. Just as they told you in training so long ago.Eren’s hand stills. It’s hard to read the emotion in his eyes, but it’s already hard to see much of anything with how the tears fall thick and burning down your cheeks. All the old ghosts, old memories, old nightmares—they come up at all the worst times, seeming to prove how weak and fragile you feel. You can’t even run from a titan. Can’t even move. Can’t even think.Confusion and fear leave you trembling, and you finally raise your hands up to wipe away all the tears that don’t stop flowing.“I’m sorry,” you sob, as much to yourself as it is to Eren. “I’m sorry I’m so useless.”He isn’t a monster. He isn’t a beast. Despite all the images flashing in the back of your mind, the horrifying recollections of nightmarish things you never want to remember again, the one titan before you is also the only reason that you’re alive. He saved you, continues to save you—and you wish for nothing more than all those memories to be little more than a forgotten bad dream.Eren can’t say anything in reply, but the obligation in the bottom of your chest to offer him some sort of explanation is too strong for you to ignore.“I can’t even stand up against a single titan without you having to come to my rescue. I’m just a useless little human. I—…I know you probably can’t even understand me right now, but I just-”A sudden pressure pushes away your hands still rubbing raw the tears from your cheeks, and that pressure lingers as a touch. The titan’s fingertip feels warm against the side of your face, soothing in such a stark contrast to but a few minutes ago. It anchors you to the moment, enough to get your thoughts and emotions joined enough to think clearly again. To calm the rush of your heartbeat, the shaking of your legs, the free flow of tears falling with seemingly no real origin. With his other hand, Eren reaches out and strokes the tips of his fingers up and down your back soothingly, making no motions to try and hurriedly usher you into his hand as he’d otherwise to get you back onto the safety of his shoulder. He shouldn’t need to spend so many moments uselessly tending to the emotional needs of such a small creature compared to him. He shouldn’t need to do anything. But he does. Minutes tick by as he continues to touch you, so gingerly, letting your tears keep flowing until they finally stop. Until you feel exhausted, almost leaning into the pad of his thumb while the rumbling of his chest so sweetly echoes into yours. And only then does he move, gently turning his open palm so that you can almost fall upon it, curling up with your arms hugging around his thumb with an undeniable sense of exhaustion. Eren watches you, and seems to look you over once more for injuries.“I promise I’m fine otherwise,” you finally say, feeling the ache in your throat from how hard you’d screamed before. “It barely touched me before you got here.”Eren’s eyes watch you.You gaze at him in return. Into his eyes and how they seem to glimmer like emeralds—like there’s something so deep behind them, an endless sense of weight that reaches farther than the clouds in the sky.And his eyes, you realize, they’re very gentle. Very pretty. Maybe even handsome. Before you can even realize it, there’s a heat blooming in your cheeks, lingering even when the titan reaches his hand up to let you crawl onto his shoulder and lean against the side of his neck, half-hidden within his shaggy mess of brown hair. From there, the two of you move on from that farmhouse, making further headway into the feral countryside long since abandoned by humanity deeper within the walls. You’re not sure exactly how far you’d come from where you’d started, but you hope—if the map had been correct—that the journey wouldn’t last too much longer before you’d find a safe place to call home again.
That Day [Titan!Eren/Reader]Home in Your Hands: That DaySummary: This is the origin for 'Home in your Hands', a story set within an AU where the reader is a survivor of the Quinta district--one of the districts on wall Maria that was left abandoned after its fall--and Eren has been in his titan form for so many years after going AWOL that he's almost forgotten how to be human, but decides to act as the reader's guardian after saving them from near-certain death. You can read the entire series on AO3 here! | Follow my Attack on Titan writing blog on tumblr-Life is fading from you. With every moment, every slowing beat of your heart, you can all but feel the very force of will leak from every inch of your body into the dark, freezing water that surrounds you. Even though your lungs burn and your body aches for but the briefest touch of solid ground, the most you can do is reach your hand up desperately towards the surface of the churning river’s surface while the rest of you continues to fade, falling deeper into the murky depths.Only to be forgotten to history as one of the last deaths to mark the bloodstained streets of your home.If you could laugh, you’d be laughing now—all the care and caution in the world to keep yourself from falling into a titan’s maw, and it’s the stupidest, silliest mistake that pushes you to your end. From far above the broken surface of the water is the stars. Their faint light gazes down upon you, as if a witness to your final moments of misery within an otherwise silent night, forgotten to all and to be remembered by absolutely nobody. You had wanted to see it through to the end. You had hoped, dreamed, yearned to see the day that your home would be saved, reclaimed with Wall Maria—but all you’ve manage to do is stave off death for seven long, lonely months. And for what? For what…?For…,The news arrives from a single soldier on horseback. He comes through the open gate, nearly running over several merchants, screaming with such shrill fear that it’s almost hard to make out the detail of his words.“Wall Maria!” he screams, shouting to all who can hear him as he rides through the district; he can’t be barely out of his cadet training like you, shaking so hard that he nearly sends his horse careening into a cart. “Wall Maria has fallen! Everyone is to evacuate towards Wall Rose immediately—take only what you need to survive and nothing else.”You’re cleaning and repair duty for your squadron, selected if only by the fact that you are the newest recruit to the garrison and nothing else. There is no rhyme or reason to where you find yourself in the moment that chaos breaks out, no grand fate of the universe that placed you there any differently than it had placed anyone else in the district—-but it was from that place that you were cursed never to leave the walls of Quinta again. Because, when the news finally reached you through the rushed, chaotic screams and shouts of the fleeing people, it’s already too late.Every horse from every board house is gone, taken by all the frantic families and soldiers that were simply fast and smart enough to grab them. Once those were gone, some poor souls left the district on foot, rushing without thinking through the situation clearly. You merely watch from the vantage point atop the barrack building, cold realization only now to the gravity of the situation at hand.Without horses, there’s no hope of making it to the next wall. It would take days at the fastest and with minimal rest, and there’s no guarantee of what would await any desperate refugee out in the open environment. How many titans have already spilled into the land between Wall Maria and Wall Rose? Even if most of them simply continued to wander north towards Trost, there would always be an uncountable variable that would make their way west; and if even one happened to come upon a desperate caravan of people hoping to take refuge in the next wall…The screams from the streets below you served enough to drown out the thoughts that might follow in the situation. You don’t even want to think about it, the situation is already enough of a nightmare as it is—you still think it’s a nightmare for a while longer, pinching yourself to bruises if only to wake yourself up.Please, no. No. Anything but this.As far as you know, it’s the end of the world. Those who couldn’t find horses and weren’t stupid enough to leave without one finally decide to shut the gate. It’s the only option available, to make sure that no titan can simply wanter in from the wildlands and come crawling into the defenseless district all but abandoned by the soldiers who had been stationed here.Abandoned. You spend some time trying to take in who is left of your squad, but eventually the question broadens into how many garrison members at all are left within the walls of Quinta.None. Absolutely nobody. You’re alone. All alone. You’d only been out of the cadet corps for a few weeks, and suddenly you find yourself the sole soldier between these helpless people and the unwavering hordes of titans that might very well come wandering towards you.The very thought terrifies you.,One day turns to two, then three, then a week, and then a month. Half of Quinta remains in the confines of the city, but you can’t be sure of the specifics. It turned out that there were other garrison members left in the district after everything, and you hoped that they might take charge to put some hope back into the people’s hearts as much as your own. Promise some sort of rescue, even if such a thing would have been a cold lie forced between teeth. You wanted anything. But in the end, whatever little sense of hope you held beside your heart was shattered by the chaos that greeted you each and every day. Quinta devolved into anarchy at first, and then they attempted to claim secession from the other walls for a kingdom of their own—all the while, people died each and every day from a variety of ailments. Dehydration, starvation, or simply losing the will to keep looking towards an endless string of hopeless days. You’re not sure how you weren’t one of them. The first ones to go. But somehow, you manage to keep your mind busy with the idea of being rescued—so you keep all the ODM gear cleaned and maintained as best you can in the barracks. You keep a careful stock of what little rations you have, and take to collecting rainwater in all the buckets you can find.I will survive, you tell yourself. I will see the day we’re rescued. After two months, Quinta moves back into anarchy. Four months sees the population down to a fourth of what it was originally. Five months, and nearly all the rations available are gone. You still have some stashed away deep within the barracks, but most everyone has long forgotten about you—one scared little greenhorn who was in the wrong place at the wrong time to be able to escape with a horse from this isolated hell. And at six months? The titans got in.You’re not sure of how it happened, exactly. Bits and pieces of that day are faded, as if they’d been forced from your mind with nothing less than disgust and fear, only to be recalled in the darkest evenings as nightmares to haunt you again and again when you think yourself safe at last.Maybe they finally learned how to climb the damn walls. Maybe someone was stupid enough to open the gate, thinking they were somehow special enough to make it all the way to Wall Rose. Maybe…maybe….fuck, maybe the damn beasts grew wings and flew over the fucking wall. They got in. That’s all that mattered to you. They got in, and you heard it happen. Heard every scream, every agonizing noise as another life was stuffed between the jaws of a mindless titan, and all you could do was huddle in fear within the confines of the barracks desperately hoping that they’d never even realize you were there. You were never trained for this. After a couple days, things quieted down. Several of the damn things remained in the abandoned district even when you wondered if you were the last living person within it’s cursed walls, making it nearly impossible to go out for more than a brief few minutes every night to see if there were storm clouds coming your way to bring the only thing keeping you alive from one day to the next: water. You survive by a combination of luck and caution. Learning how the beasts move, how they hunt, how they wander within the desolate roads within the corpse of your home, each day growing ever more desperate as supplies start to wane, but you refuse to think about the day that you run out of them completely.Seven months in finds you searching desperately for the telltale signs of dark clouds coming close on the horizon. You’d rationed out the water from the last rainstorm as best you could, but you’ve been bone-dry for the last two days and you can feel it. Feel exhaustion start to creep in, settle into your bones. Next would be lethargy, then apathy, and then….You try to tell yourself that the idea is smart, driven solely by the sense of logic than desperation. Because if it’s logical, then you don’t have to think about the risks, don’t have to think about what would happen if it goes wrong. There’s a section of the district that floods whenever it rains; it had acted as a large-scale reservoir of water for Quinta’s forgotten people (when there was still other people alive). You’d reach the water in the dead of night on a rainstorm. You’d make several trips, collect as much water as you could—that way, you’d have more than enough in reserve to make sure that your livelihood wouldn’t rest on the fickle mercy of mother nature. To live. To survive. When the droplets start to fall one one particularly dark night, the plan seems to work perfectly. One trip has two full buckets of water, stored safely within the barracks old storeroom, and not a single titan in the path you needed to take to get to the reservoir. It seems perfect, but you were so desperate, so scared, so blinded by having a simple goal to entertain your mind away from the situation that you didn’t realize how slick that the rain had made the dirt beneath your feet, turning it into mud that slipped like ice beneath your boots and-Suddenly-You’re beneath the surface of the water, sinking from the weight of your own ODM gear, and you can’t breathe.,...So this is how it ends? You want to laugh, want to laugh so hard that you begin to sob. Fate is fickle and cruel, just as unyielding as the very force of mother nature that led you to the reservoir. The very same lifegiving water is what will be your death.Darkness starts to overtake your vision and mind, you’re sure that’s the last thing you will ever think.Except its not. Though your senses are dulled and dark, you feel a sudden shift of the water around your body, and then a grip wrapping around your torso, pushing your arms to your chest and immobilizing you completely. From there, your dulled awareness takes a few numb moments before realizing the pressure wrapped around you is a hand. A large hand.A titan’s hand.Fear surges through you. Like lightning so hot that it hurts nearly as much as the realization of what’s happening to you, though you can do absolutely nothing about it. Even if you had the strength to struggle or scream, you simply can’t fight against the fact that you’re starved for oxygen and are fading fast. Your best hope for a quick death is for this curious beast to squeeze the life out of your body before pulling you up and out of the water—maybe that would be less painful than the slow suffocation that otherwise awaits you.But it doesn’t.You’re suddenly pulled from the water, up and above the surface—and you breathe. You breathe, gasping desperately for air to fill your aching, dying lungs. The darkness and the death that it represented fades from the center of your vision, and with it returns your senses, but it lingers at the edge of your awareness. You’re not safe from death yet, as if it’s to say.And it’s true. For the moment you gain enough awareness to follow the situation and understand what comes next, you open your eyes and start to hurriedly look around in a desperate flurry of motions. But do you want to watch? Do you want to see the beast’s face come ever closer to you before the end? You’re not sure, but search all the same—meanwhile, you realize that the titan isn’t squeezing you. It’s barely even holding you, just enough so that you don’t slip from the it’s hand in the utter downpour of rain still falling heavy atop your head.By the time you find the beast’s face, death still hasn’t come for you with sharp teeth and an unyielding jaw. No, you meet with the titan’s eyes only to find it watching you, unmoving and still, holding you not as if to bring you closer, but more as if it’s…..just…. holding you.Like a baby bird within it’s massive palms. The creature shifts it’s hands around you, letting you roll over yourself until you’re laying back against it’s open palm and staring up into emerald eyes so bright in color that they almost seem to glow in the darkness of the moonless sky.The near-drowning experience is but one of several factors that keep you frozen. Though your lungs feel ablaze and your very bones ache with the need for oxygen, every inch of you is shaking with horror. This titan is massive. Shaggy, shoulder, length brown hair, jaw lipless to reveal several rows of glimmering teeth, and it’s eyes. They watch you, but not in the way that you’re used to seeing from titans—the look in them isn’t hallow and empty, but filled with a sense of life, of meaning, of thought. And it still hasn’t eaten you. Why?The question spurs you to life, chest spasming until water starts to come up your throat and out your mouth in loud coughs and sputters. You feel it ache every inch up your throat. Deep in your chest. But even then, you can’t stop the way you turn your eyes to the face of the beast whom holds you like a delicate creature than as a meal, and ask,“Why?”You’re shaking even as you move, unable to get to your feet but nonetheless trying.“Why aren’t you eating me? Why did you-” you peer down towards the dark expanse of water that had filled up into a small but intimidating pond—obviously deep enough to drown a person. “-why did you save me? What….are you….?”You expected the moment to suddenly come back to itself at any point while you speak—for the titan to remember itself, it’s place in the world as little more than a monster hell-bent on devouring each and every human it finds. But it doesn’t. It, and there is no other way you can describe the moment, but it seems to listen.Seems to understand you.And maybe you’re crazy. Maybe you’ve gone absolutely insane and are doing nothing more than laying on the floor of the barracks hallucinating this entire thing. But, despite it all, you are standing in the palm of a titan who has saved your life, one who looks at you with such bright green eyes that seem… almost human. You’re exhausted, you’re hungry, you’re so tired of being within these suffocating walls and waiting for the day that you’d finally succumb to the never-ending, hopeless line of days being abandoned by others and waiting for a rescue that will never come.So you stare at this titan for a long while, until you see it tilt its head to the side, as if checking to make sure you were still alive. And the rain howls, howls so hard around you that it’s as if mother nature herself is screaming at the act that had stolen you from her declaration for you to die right then and there in the cold depths of the water.“Can you-...c-can you take me beyond the walls?”You’re not quite sure what moved you to ask such a question. But even as you look for a reason, for logic, the words continue to pour out of your lips like a waterfall of emotion that hurts as much as the water still sitting in your lungs.“Please—please take me out of here, I can’t—” tears, whether fearful or desperate or outright crazy, flow free from your eyes and mix with the rain rolling down your cheeks. “Please—… I want to be free from this hell. I… can’t stay here another day. If you can understand me, a-and you were willing to save me, th-then take me out of here with you.”When it doesn’t respond after a moment, anger suddenly wells within you instead, and you kick a foot against the curve of it’s thumb.“And if you can’t do that,” you say, not sure how much of it is fear or an absolute bluff of a soldier gone insane. “Then just drop me back in the water so it can finish what it started.”Still, the titan watches you. Watches, not stares. The creature’s eyes follow your movements, and for a moment you catch a glint of light unlike anything you’d seen in all the titans that had swarmed your home and driven you to near-madness (if you weren’t utterly mad right now).It nods.Did…it really do that?“D-do that again,” you say and, after a moment (after a moment to think), the titan nods again. Is that agreement to your request? You take a step forward, but slip against the slick surface of the titan’s flat palm. For a moment you think you’re going to meet a repeat of your exact same mistake just a short eternity before, but suddenly there’s something in front of you to flail your arms out and catch, something pushing you back up to stand proper: the titan’s other hand, held out in a way where you’re able to hold onto it’s index finger, in a way that is unlike any sort of motion or sense of gentleness—of restraint—than you’d ever even imagined a titan was or is ever capable of.And then it moves its hand—and you—closer. But not to the creature’s mouth, but its shoulder. From there, it gently pushes a finger against the back of your body until you get the message it’s trying to convey: to step onto its shoulder, holding securely onto a thick lock of the wet, dark hair framing its face. Before you have the sense to speak, or even think, the titan is moving; it steps out of the reservoir with one motion, as if the body of water is little more than a puddle, and then starts to move in a sharp, jogging speed towards one of the walls. The walls.Freedom.It takes the beast a while to climb them, but awe and shock keep you from doing anything that might have you toppling off its shoulders. But when it finally moves to the very top of the walls, you finally realize that the rain has begun to let up, slowly brightening until, at last, you can see the vast lands of inner Wall Maria so clearly beneath the faint light of stars. You are sure in that very same moment that you are not dreaming, because there is absolutely nothing that even your fevered mind could conjure up that is half as beautiful, half as wonderful as but the mere glance at the world outside Quinta. There is so much you want to know, so many questions you want to ask, but you allow yourself just that one moment of relief and happiness after such a long stretch of days filled with misery and fake hope that you would otherwise survive long enough to be rescued. You never thought that the rescue would be at the hands of a titan. A titan whom it was on this day you met and would befriend, whom would protect you through even more dire situations than you can ever imagine. His name, you will soon learn, is Eren.
Eren x Reader Time Flies (Modern AU)"EREN!!!" you hollered and sprinted towards him, jumping into his arms. He held you close, lifting you up and spinning you around. A grin adorned your lips and tears gathered at the brim of your eyes as you stuffed your face into his chest when he put you down, still embracing you tightly. "... I m-missed you s-so, so much...""I missed you, too, kitten," he whispered into your hair, using the nickname he always did since you reminded him of one."Ha! You think you can fight me? You're pretty dumb for a nerd that always has their nose in books and homework," a seven-year-old boy spat at six-year-old you. You were on the ground as the little boy had previously pushed you over."I-I'm not dumb..."He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Even if you aren't dumb, I'm smarter than you.""Hey! What are you doing?!" a small voice questioned, slowly getting closer as another male approached the two of you. You looked up through your tears and saw a boy around your age with brown hair and teal eyes that held anger in them. "Leave her alone!" he yelled, standing in front of your cowered form to protect you from the bully."Who are you?""You don't need to know! Just go before I... Before I tell your mummy that you're a bully."The bully proceeded to push your saviour, but the nice boy punched him in the face before he could do anything. Because of the force of the punch, he fell on his bottom with tears pricking his eyes as he looked up at the brunette. He soon scrambled to get up and hurried away, crying for his mother. Once he was gone, your hero turned around to face you and helped you stand up, thinking you were similar to a lost kitten that needed a guardian."Th-thank you..." you shyly said, wiping your tears away and staring at the grass of the park you were currently in."It's okay... Where's your mummy?""Um... She's somewhere over there," you told him, gesturing to a place behind a large tree."Come on. Let's go to her," he said, taking your hand and leading you to where your mother was. "... Uh, does anything hurt?""N-no."A gasp was heard when you rounded the tree. "(Y/N), my baby! What happened to you?""..." You stayed silent as she examined your face, gently prodding it as she glanced at your messy clothes."There was some bully," the brunette answered for you."Who was it? And who are you?""I'm Eren. And I don't know who he was. He was really mean, though. But I helped her!""Thank you, Eren. Where are your parents?""They're right there," he told your mother, pointing to an area that was only a few metres away."You can go to them. Thank you again," she smiled."But I want to, um... stay with her... I want to protect her from any other bullies and bad people!"Your mother just flashed him a grin as he lightly patted the top of your head in a comforting(?) manner.Parting your face from his chest, you gazed up into his beautiful, glistening eyes that you always admired. Both of you still had your arms around each other, just staring at each other with no words spoken. Moving one hand from his neck, it travelled up to his silky, brunette locks, which was put into a man bun that made him look completely different from before he had left."... I never want to lose you again," you told him quietly, pressing your ear to his chest, allowing you to hear his heartbeat that quickened when you tightened your hold, wishing to never let go of him again.Ever since that day Eren saved you from that bully, you would persuade your parents to go to the park almost every weekend, so you could see him. You two would always play in the playground and plan to see each other again.About a year after, he had moved into your neighbourhood, or more like right next door to you. This meant you were able to see each other every day and go to each other's houses. He had a dog, you had a cat (which gave him more reason to compare you to a cute kitten) and you would always play with his dog. He did the same with your cat."I'm moving to your school," Eren announced as both of you stood in his garden full of snow."Really?!" you exclaimed excitedly. "How come?!""... I sent a boy called Jean to the medical room. He was annoying me so I punched him and he fell, scraping his head against the ground. So they kicked me out of school and my parents want me to go to your school," he muttered."You're so violent... Pinky promise you'll never hurt me?" you said, looking at him with gleaming orbs and holding out your gloved pinky."Pinky promise," he grinned, hooking his finger with yours as you giggled happily.Your giggle was soon cut off when snow was flung into your face. Your mouth was agape as you shook the snow from your face, frowning at the chuckling Eren who ran off. You made a snowball and chased after him, attempting to throw it at him but he was too far, no matter how much you tried to catch up to him. After a couple of minutes, he stopped to catch his breath, causing small puffs to emanate from his lips. You crept up behind him and plopped the snow onto the top of his head, which made you burst into laughter as he joined you.Since it was getting colder and late, his mother, Carla, had called both of you inside to warm up. You took off your shoes, jackets, hats, and gloves before sitting on the sofa, which resided near a heater. The two of you were sitting next to each other, wrapped in one blanket."I'm going to make hot cocoa for both of you," she said with a smile and both of you gave one in return. The sound of the door opening and closing echoed before footsteps approached the living room, where you were. Grisha, Eren's father, entered, his eyes softening at the sight of both of you snuggled next to each other, talking away."Hello, (Y/N).""Mr Jaeger!" you squealed, jumping off of the sofa and into his arms as he picked you up.You were always welcomed and loved by the Jaeger household, though, there was one member that seemed to act cold to you. Eren's older sister - Mikasa. But you still made an effort to get her to warm up to you, however, it didn't seem to work."I'm not going anywhere, now that I have you in my arms again," he replied, stroking your hair. Both of you stood outside a train station in the area you lived in.Everything seemed so unreal. But, all you cared about was seeing Eren again. All you cared about was being in his embrace again. All you cared about was filling the empty hole in your heart.Everything seemed so familiar. The particular warmth that always emitted off of Eren. The feeling of his arms around you. The sound of his rapid heartbeat. It was your thirteenth birthday and you wanted a birthday party at your house. You invited your friends, including Eren and some of his friends that you knew well. The Jaegers and your family were busy decorating the house, preparing food and cleaning. Your parents dealt with the food, the Jaegers decorated, and you and Eren cleaned. Yes, it was your birthday so people would say that you should relax. But if you were doing something with Eren, you didn't mind since it would always turn out to be fun. Even if it was something as boring and tiring as cleaning."Eren!" you called from the living room and he came to you ten seconds later."Yes?""Look what I found~" you grinned, holding a piece of paper from a few years ago."What is it?" he frowned, nearing you as you hid the paper from him, quickly analysing it. "Oi, (Y/N). Give it to me.""Aw, you were so cute. I can't believe you did this," you teased. "Haha, it's good you don't want to be an artist because this drawing is rubbish.""(Y/N), show me!" he demanded, trying to grab it."Wait, wait, wait. Let me read it first," you smirked and cleared your throat. "This is what you wrote: '(Y/N) Ackerman is my bestest friend in the whole, wide world. She's always smiling, which makes me smile and I'm happy that I met her in the park that day. She reminded me of a kitten, and she still does because she's cute and hyper like one. I think, one day, when we're both older, I'm going to marry her...' Pfffttt!" You stopped reading and burst into laughter after rereading those words and glancing at the currently blushing Eren. After calming down, you continued since he didn't stop you. "'I know it's hard for me to know what's going to happen when we're older since we're only eight right now, but I think we'll always be together no matter what. If you ever read this, (Y/N), just know that I'm thankful for knowing you.' Aw, Eren, this is so adorable! Can I keep it?""No... Give it to me," he pouted, snatching it from your hands. It was a drawing of both of you, holding hands with the paragraph you just read under the sketch."Hey?""What?""Can you call me 'kitten' from now on?""Tch. No, you idiot.""Aw, but am I not cute like one?" you said in a feigned innocent voice and with a fake sulk."Shut up," he muttered, facing away from you and scrunching the paper up into a ball. You stepped closer to him, suddenly looping your arms around his form from behind. He sputtered incoherent words and the blush on his face, neck and ears intensified."W-w-what are y-you doing, (Y/N)?""You're my bestest friend in the whole, wide world as well," you whispered, pressing your cheek against his back. "Also, please call me 'kitten'?" you asked."... Fine, kitten," he sighed, emphasising on the nickname."Yay! Now, get back to cleaning," you told him after pulling away from him.You turned around to go back to the place you were cleaning, not hearing footsteps approach you. A gentle hand tapped your shoulder and you faced the teenage boy who scratched his cheek with his index finger, looking down at the ground and not saying anything.Abruptly, you felt lips on yours as you stood there in shock, blinking at Eren's face that was right in front of you. His eyes were closed and his lips lingered on yours for a little longer before he quickly parted, seeming shocked at himself to be able to do something so bold. He was about to go as you still stood there in surprise, but you were brought out of your daze and you grabbed his shirt to pull him into another chaste kiss. His arms remained by his side and so did yours, apart from the hand that gripped his shirt. The action caused you two to stand there in embarrassment with your faces being deep shades of red after pulling away."... Uh... I-I'm, uh, going to go back to cleaning," you mumbled."Y-yeah, m-me, too..."Little did both of you know that both of your families witnessed the kiss."... I love you, Eren," you uttered softly."I love you, too, kitten."Your mum had a grin of her face the whole time as she helped you get ready for your first date with Eren. You rolled your eyes every time she squealed or let out an 'aw'. But, to be honest, you had the same reactions inside. You only wished your father felt the same, but he was being protective over you."You're all ready," she told you, grinning from ear to ear."Thanks for helping me get ready, mum," you smiled and she embraced you before letting you make your way downstairs."Levi, honey!" she called as she entered their bedroom."What do you need, Petra?" he questioned."(Y/N)'s going to leave for her date with Eren soon.""That brat better not put his filthy hands on her. I don't even want her to go. No one deserves my little girl," he said, a frown dancing over his face before he went downstairs to see you sitting on the sofa, waiting for your date who should ring the doorbell any moment now. "Hi, princess.""Oh, hey, Dad," you beamed as he came and sat down next to you."If that Jaeger brat does anything to you, tell me straight away, okay?""He's not going to do anything.""Yeah, well, boys are animals. You never know what they can do.""I've known Eren for a long time, and you know him as well. We both know he would never hurt me.""... I know," he huffed. "I just don't think any boy will be good enough for you--" he muttered just as the doorbell rang. Your face lit up and you stood up. He followed suit."Aw, thank you, dad." You quickly hugged him and he kissed your forehead before letting you go. It's going to take him some time to realise that you're growing up and you won't be his little girl anymore. You opened the door to find Eren standing there nervously. You smiled at him and he glanced at you before flitting his eyes away."... You look really nice," he murmured."Thank you!" you grinned before turning around to shout into your house, "I'm leaving!""Okay, have fun, sweetie! Make sure you tell me everything when you come back."You snorted and left your house, closing the door behind you and walking off with the weirdly shy brunette.Once you removed your face away from his chest again, you tilted your head up to latch your lips onto his for a loving kiss. Tears streamed down your face again, making his cheeks damp with your tears as well. When you parted, he gently brushed the moisture away with a grin of his face before kissing your nose."I love you so freaking much," you hummed and pecked his lips, your heart aching for more of him since while he was gone, he hadn't visited you even once."So do I. Should we go?" he questioned, his arms finally freeing you of the embrace and taking your hands. You nodded and lightly squeezed his hand as both of you walked to your car.Your head was throbbing, your eyes were burning, your hands were trembling. Everything about you seemed to be aching and you had to take a break. But you couldn't because you had big exams coming up and you had to study for them.Thankfully, Eren had (once again) come to your rescue to calm you down and let you rest. You guessed that your parents had called him because they couldn't tear you away from your desk and were starting to get worried for you."(Y/N), get up right now," your boyfriend of three years ordered. Your room had a strong aroma of coffee. You sat at your desk, the lamp being the only light as textbooks lay across the surface. You didn't respond or move so he walked closer to you, pulling your chair back from the desk. "(Y/N)?" he spoke, concern evident in his voice."Eren? What are you doing here?" you inquired and Eren seemed even more concerned when he saw your face. Your complexion was pale, your eyes were red and had dark bags and your lips seemed to have been gnawed on, along with your nails."(Y/N), you need to stop stressing so much and look after yourself.""But I need to study--" you protested, trying to reach for a textbook but he grasped your wrist to stop you."Stop," he said sternly, a serious expression etched onto his face. "You're already so intelligent, there's nothing for you to worry about. You're as smart as Armin. And I know you're going to do well in these exams and get high grades. So please take a break and rest. I'm not that smart, but I still don't work myself this hard.""... Okay. Thank you, babe," you said softly, standing up and hugging him. "Also, you are smart, don't bring yourself down like that.""Whatever," he said, scooping you up and gently laying you down on your bed. He laid down next to you, winding his arms around your waist and bringing you closer to him. "I'm not letting you do any work for the next two days. Your parents even gave me permission to sleep here because they're worried about you and they trust me to help you.""Mhm. Now, shh. I want to sleep."Upon reaching your apartment, both of you strolled in and you led Eren to your bedroom to leave his two massive suitcases there. You drew him into another hug, not getting enough of his warmth and embraces and love. You didn't want anything else, all you wanted was him. He's the only person that can make you feel this amount of euphoria with just their presence. He grazed his lips over your neck and you slightly tilted your head to give him more access. He pulled away for a moment, looking at your satisfied expression and hoisted you up, carrying you to your bed before placing you down. Eren saw how you gazed at him with lust and desire, and his heart fluttered when he realised how much he missed you.Exams were over, and you have graduated as a senior. So, now you had prom. And of course, Eren was your prom date. Here you are, getting ready with your friends - Sasha, Annie, Krista and Ymir - at your house.About two weeks ago, all of you had gone shopping for prom, trying on many dresses, visiting many shops for different accessories, shoes, dresses. You had picked out a full-length, flowy, off the shoulder, sky-blue dress that had a tiny trail. With that, you bought suede heels of a similar shade (though, no one would be able to see them because of the length of the dress). As for your accessories: you chose silver waterfall earrings; a pearl choker necklace; simple chain bracelets with a small pendant on either wrist, along with some rings on your fingers.Right now, all of you were putting on makeup and doing hair to astonish your dates."(Y/N), you're going to look the best out of us. That dress is beautiful, and you're the best at doing hair and makeup. Eren is one lucky guy," Krista said as the other girls agreed, apart from one."Krista, you're going to look even better than her," Ymir smirked, slinging an arm around her shoulders. "I bet you'll win prom queen.""Well, thank you, Ymir," you said sarcastically, causing them to giggle softly. It was silent for a while, until Sasha spoke up, asking a question that nearly made you burn yourself as you curled your hair (A/N: if you already have curly hair, just pretend you don't XD)."By the way, (Y/N), you and Eren have been in a relationship for five years now. Nearly six, I think. And both of you are still virgins. So, do you think that will change tonight?""S-Sasha...! W-w-why did you suddenly ask me that?""I mean, prom night is when it's most likely to happen. And you can't tell me you've never at least gotten close to having sex in these five years.""W-well... Maybe. But, I would stop things before it went too far because I wanted to wait.""For what?" Annie asked."... I don't know," you sighed."If you're shy about your body, which you have no reason to be, or if you want to stay innocent for as long as you can, none of that matters. If anyone was to take your virginity away, it should be Eren - the boy you've basically been in love with your whole life.""I don't know the reason I don't want to. Poor Eren, I'm surprised he hasn't gone and cheated on me.""Well, are you going to stop things if it happens tonight?""... I don't think so. You're right. If it were to be with anyone, it should be Eren--"A knock sounded at your bedroom door, startling you as you were brought out of your thoughts. You got up from the chair you sat on in front of the mirror and approached the door, opening it to see who it was."Oh, hey, dad," you said before realising that he could have heard your conversation. "... Uh, do you need anything?""Ye--" he started, but was cut off by your friends."Hi, Mr Ackerman!" they all greeted him as you slightly widened the door a little more so he could see them. You could see him holding back an eye roll, which made you smile."Yeah, hi, whatever. (Y/N), me and your mother are leaving for our business trip now. We'll be back in a few days.""Oh, okay. Let me go say bye to mum, then."Both of you left your room to go to your parents' room, where your mum was making sure she had everything before leaving. She brought you into a hug when she noticed you and beamed at you."I'm so proud of you, my sweetheart," she told you after parting from the hug. "Have fun at prom. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.""Yes, I know.""Of course, you're my smart, little baby." You playfully rolled your eyes since she still calls you her 'baby'. "I'm going to wait for you downstairs, Levi.""Okay.""Bye, (Y/N).""Bye, mum."You stood opposite your dad, his expression was neutral, but his steel eyes told you he was pleased. You hugged him and he lightly patted your hair (as to not ruin it), kissing the top of your head."I'm proud of you as well, princess. Also, just because you have the house to yourself, it doesn't mean you can do anything stupid.""Aw, what? I can't throw a party and take drugs?" you pretended to complain and a small smile crept onto his lips."Always remember that boys are animals. Even though I didn't to like Eren that much, I would say he's not an animal and I'm happy you found someone like him.""I'm sure he would be glad to hear that.""But I'm serious, don't do anything stupid. Also, the limo will be here in about an hour so make sure you're all ready. We'll see you soon, okay?""Okay. Bye, dad."You gave him another quick hug before he left and you made your way back to your room, where your friends were still getting ready."Do you guys seriously have to scream like that whenever you see my dad?""Well, he's gorgeous--" Sasha said, but you cut her off."Shut up. That's disgusting. Don't ever say that again.""She's not wrong," Annie spoke up, causing all of you to look at her in shock. You would least expect her to say something like that."Whatever. Let's change the subject.""So you and Eren?""We already spoke about that. What about you and Connie?""You know we already had sex. Nothing to talk about.""(Y/N), you're the only virgin in our group.""Well, sorry for being so 'innocent'."Ymir scoffed. "You aren't innocent at all. That mind you have is something else. I'm pretty sure I lost my virginity just by hearing your dirty jokes and thoughts.""Okay... Let's talk about something that doesn't include me in it."Soon, the subject was changed as you all looked back on school, talking about funny and awkward moments.About an hour later, all of you were ready, standing in front of the big mirror you had in your room."I'm not going to lie, we all look hot as hell," Ymir smirked."I agree.""Picture time!" you shouted, grabbing your phone and taking multiple pictures of all of you before your photo shoot was interrupted by the doorbell. "Eren~!" you squealed and jogged down the stairs, trying not to trip because of your heels and long dress. You swung the door open, only to find that it was Connie - Sasha's date."Hey, (Y/N)... You look really nice.""Thank you. So do you," you grinned before letting him inside. "Sasha! Your prince is here!""Connie!" she screamed seconds later, barging past you to jump onto him. They kissed for a brief moment and you were about to close the door, but heard your name being called from the velvety voice of your boyfriend. You widened the door again, your heart starting to beat rapidly as you saw him walk up the path to your front door. Both of you just stood there, startled by how amazing the two of you looked."... You look amazing, kitten," he whispered, stepping forward to peck your lips."And you're damn sexy." You tiptoed to kiss him for a while longer and his hand rested on the small of your back, while yours travelled to his neck."No need to show off how much love there is between you two," the freckled girl retorted as her, Krista and Annie trod down the stairs. You pulled away from the boy, wiping off the lipstick you may have gotten on his handsome face."Are you all ready to go?" the male with turquoise eyes inquired."Yep. Bertolt's already going to be there, right, Annie?" you asked and she nodded. "Okay, then, we're ready to go. I'm so happy my parents rented all of us a limo.""Which is another reason we love your dad so much," Sasha spoke with a snort as her and Connie joined all of you by the door."Tch. Just get your a*ses outside so I can lock the door.""Wow. You sound just like him," Eren teased and you gave him a small glare."And she's as beautiful as him," Krista murmured with a smile, causing her to get a scowl from Ymir."I'll seriously ban you lot from my house and seeing my dad because you're gross. You can't go crushing on my dad," you muttered and locked the door, following them to the limo that was parked outside. You greeted the driver and all of you headed inside, as they all stared in amazement.Eren looped an arm around your torso, tugging you closer to him and making you lean your head on his shoulder.~/~After all your friends were dropped home, you and Eren went over to your house since you would have it to yourselves. Once you locked the door and slipped your heels off, relieving your pained feet, Eren dragged you to the living room. He sat down and hauled you onto his lap, giving you a smirk as he wrapped his arms around your hips to secure you."I didn't care that much about prom. All I wanted was you because you looked so elated and stunning and I fell in love with you all over again. I don't care about how cheesy I just sounded, I love you."You gave him a tender smile, running your fingers through his hair. "I love you, too," you hummed before leaning closer to him and moulding your lips with his. He immediately responded, fluttering his eyes closed. One of his hands travelled from your hips up to your face to cup it as he made the kiss more passionate, slipping his tongue through your lips. After his exploration of your mouth, he pulled away, looking into your (E/C) orbs with hunger and you gave him a similar look before he started to brush his lips over your bare shoulders. You remembered the conversation you had with your friends, causing butterflies to soar in your stomach. When you got the courage, you softly uttered his name and he only hummed in return, nibbling on your collar bone which caused you to quietly moan."E-Eren..." you said again, and this time, you got his attention."What's the matter?" he asked, staring at you with worry taking over the lust in his eyes. You sighed, breaking the gaze you had with him. "... I-- I want to take things further..." you confessed and his eyes slightly widened when he took your chin so you would face him."Y-you mean...?"You simply nodded at his vague inquiry, pecking his lips as you moved your fingers through his hair, brushing it back from his forehead before the soft locks slipped back through your digits, covering his skin again. "Yes... I think it's the right time, and I trust you and I love you... U-unless, of course, you don't want to," you added with a blush."No, no... I do. But, are you sure about this?"You got off of his lap and stood up, holding out your hand. "I am."He smiled and stood up, letting you seize his hand before you took him to your bedroom, shutting the door."(Y/N), wait. Are you sure? I don't want you to regret it.""Baby, I'm sure, okay? There's nothing to regret because it's with you.""... Okay."Eren suddenly picked you up and gently plopped you down onto the bed as you propped yourself up on your elbows. He got rid of his blazer and tie as you watched him, your thirst for him growing."Eren?" you uttered quietly as he lay next to you with his eyes closed."Hm?""... Thank you for always being with me.""You're welcome, kitten. But why did you bring that up so suddenly?""Because I'm just thinking about how grateful I am for you.""Well, I'm grateful for you as well. I'm never going to leave you again.""(Y/N), we need to talk.""About what?" you smiled as both of you were in your room, relaxing after coming back from one of the best dates Eren had planned. What you didn't know was that it was all about to be ruined."... It's hard for me to tell you... But, my family are moving to Germany because of my parents' work. I've already applied to some universities there, we have an apartment, and we're moving in about a month.""What?" you spoke, utterly shocked and heartbroken by the abrupt news. You didn't want to believe what you heard, you wished you were dreaming. But everything he just said was reality. "... You can't just up and go like that! Why didn't you tell me earlier?!""I didn't want you to spend your time depressing over it.""Eren, you can't just leave me like this!" you shouted, tears brimming your eyes."I'm sorry, (Y/N). There's nothing I can do.""No, this isn't true. You were meant to be my side all the time, no matter what... What am I going to do without you?!""(Y/N)--" he started and approached you to bring into a hug but you stepped away, angry at him."Long-distance relationships almost never work out...! Eren, please, I don't want to lose you!""You aren't losing me. We can call every day, I'll come to visit you whenever I can.""It's not the same. Nothing's going to be the same without you! What if you just forget about me and date some other girl?!""My heart belongs to you, and only you. Promise me that you won't date another guy while I'm gone," he said quietly, taking your chin in between his index finger and thumb and tilting your head upwards. "Promise me, my love."When you gazed into his orbs, you saw the pain and guilt in them and tears soon gushed down your face as you clutched his shirt and pulled him closer to you. He inaudibly sighed, coiling his arms around you tightly as he let a few tears of his own fall. He didn't want to leave you, but the choice wasn't up to him, he had to obey his parents, no matter how much it broke both of your hearts."I-I promise..." you sobbed, still hiding your face in his chest."Pinky promise?" he said, holding back any more tears and smiling slightly. He hooked his pinky with yours and you spoke, "P-pinky pr-romise. I love you so much, Eren. Never forget that.""I won't. I love you so much, kitten, and I promise to come back to you one day... Can I stay with you for the next month?""Of c-course, y-yes. I'm not r-ready to let you g-go y-yet."Knocks sounded at your bedroom door with the call of your name. "(Y/N)? Is everything okay in there?""Yeah, we're fine, Mr Ackerman," Eren responded with a raised voice since your dad was on the other side of the closed door."Can I come in?""(Y/N), do you want him to?" your beloved asked you softly."I-I d-don't care.""You can come in," he called and the door opened. Your father stared at your trembling figure being held by Eren, causing him to frown."What happened...? Princess?"You tried wiping your tears away, but they kept on flowing. Despite that, you stepped away from your boyfriend to let your dad see you properly."N-nothing.""It's obviously not 'nothing' if you're crying.""Mr Ackerman, I'll take care of her. You can talk to her when she calms down.""..." Your dad suspiciously eyed your boyfriend before sighing, knowing that he can trust Eren. "Okay." Approaching you, he gave you a hug and you automatically brought your arms around him, clinging onto the back of his blazer. Your dad was slightly shocked to see you so distressed, but he tightened his hold on you to give you the comfort you were in need of."Um, Mr Ackerman, is it okay for me to stay here for a few weeks?""Did something happen at home?""No... I just want to stay with (Y/N).""Yes, you can stay," he approved before turning his attention back to you. "(Y/N), I'm sorry, but I have an important dinner to go to. I'll be back in a few hours. Eren will help you with whatever you're upset about," he spoke softly, stroking your hair comfortingly and placing a single kiss on the top of your head. You parted from the hug, staring at the ground before you were made to face your father, who wiped your tears away. "I never like seeing you like this, so when I come back, smile for me, okay?"You nodded, holding back the tears that were threatening to spill as your body still shook. He ruffled your hair and left your bedroom, closing the door behind him."Do you feel better?""I'm not worse. It's just that we've always been there for each other for the past thirteen years, loved each other for the past five, nearly six years, and we don't even know how long we're going to be apart. What if you can't visit me?""No matter what gets in my way, I'll visit you because I won't be able to live without you. And I'm planning to come back here, or wherever you're going to be, after I graduate from university. Maybe we can even live together," he said with a soft smile, tucking some of your hair behind your ears before cupping your face. You leaned into his touch and closed your eyes."... Do you need help with anything? Like packing or anything.""It's fine. You just relax before starting uni.""Can I have a kiss?""Of course. Why are you asking?" he chuckled softly before giving you a short and sweet kiss. He was about to pull away but you stopped him."No, wait. I want more since I'm not going to have any more kisses when you go."He smiled before kissing you again, this time more passionate and for a longer amount of time, which resulted in both of you making out.~/~"Aww, babe. Look at this," you grinned, and Eren came by your side, analysing the photo you held. It was a picture of you and him when you were about ten years old; he had an arm around your shoulders and a grin on his face and you also had a grin, holding up two fingers behind his head to give him bunny ears. "... I can't believe this was nine years ago. Time goes too fast," you said quietly, leaning your head on his bicep. You were helping Eren and his family with packing and clearing everything up before they go to Germany. Along the way, you found things of you and Eren that made you want to cry every time."You were so cute... What happened?" he joked and you playfully slapped his thigh, clicking your tongue."You're so rude.""I'm just teasing you, kitten. You were and always have been cute.""I wish I could say the same about you," you decided to tease him as well. That didn't exactly end well for you.He suddenly started tickling you, causing you to giggle continuously and squirm around."Eren! Eren, stop...! I can't breathe!" you tried to say through your laughs, but he didn't halt his actions."What am I?""Y-you're cute! Please, stop...! You're handsome... sexy, attractive as hell...""Hm. Good," he smirked and stopped tickling you, allowing you to catch your breath. Eren picked up the photo you had abandoned, giving it back to you. "Keep it to remember me, okay?""Okay!" you beamed, attacking his face with kisses to get revenge.~/~Ever since Eren had left, you would mainly be holed up in your room, only leaving to go to the bathroom and shower or to eat. Other than that, you would just lay down in bed, wishing that Eren could be there with you. But he was gone for an indefinite time. There was still one more month until you would start your first year of university and you had nothing to do. Your friends would urge you to go out and get your mind off things but you didn't want to. Your parents would try to distract you but they couldn't do anything to help you."(Y/N), baby, come on. Moping around isn't going to help you in any way. Why don't you, me and your father go out today?" your mother suggested you as she sat on the edge of your bed, where you lay."I don't want to," you murmured, hugging your pillow as a replacement for Eren."We're worried about you, and so are your friends. We haven't even seen you smile since he left.""... I miss him so much, mum," you whispered, closing your eyes and holding the pillow closer to you as you felt yourself tear up. It's only been two weeks but your heart already feels so empty. You haven't been able to call him because he's busy settling in. "I want to see him and hear his voice. I love him so much.""Aw, sweetheart," she muttered, feeling her heart shatter at the sound of your croaky voice and the words you spoke. She can't even imagine the pain you're going through since her and your father haven't been forced to separate.Eren could have stayed, he has no purpose in Germany, it's just his parents that have to go for work. Why couldn't he have stayed?"Petra," a voice called as the door to your bedroom opened, revealing your father. "Oh..." His expression contorted into something of worry when he heard you sniffle."What's wrong, honey?""It's not that important," he brushed it off, sitting down next to his wife. "... Princess, I don't know what you're feeling, but seeing you like this is upsetting. You either suck it up and carry on with life, or sulk about it and just get worse.""Levi, don't be so harsh.""She's an Ackerman, she's strong. A little advice isn't going to hurt her.""Just go, I'll deal with her," your mother sighed."Tomorrow, I want to see you by the door by noon, ready to go out," he told you as he strolled out of your room."Ignore your father. Take as much time as you want to recover, but please just look after yourself and leave your room more often," your mum spoke softly, standing up and leaning over to kiss your cheek. "I'm going to make dinner, come down when I call you, okay?"You didn't speak, you didn't move, you only continued to shed a couple of tears. She sighed before leaving your room.~/~"She's gotten better," your mother said quietly to your father as they saw you on the sofa, grinning as you video called Eren."Because of me. I told you she's strong.""No. It's because she's finally able to talk to Eren. I'm so glad to see her smile again.""Isn't it their six-year anniversary in a few days?""Yes. They won't even be able to do something together.""When that brat comes back, he better give my princess everything she wants.""What if she wants to get married to him? Will you be fine with it?""... If she's happy, then I don't care.""Hm. I'll make sure to remember this if Eren asks for your blessing.""I hope you're treating (Y/N) right. She was completely broken when you left," the deep voice of your father said as both of them sat in the living room of your parent's house."I know. And I'm trying to make it up to her... On that note, I have something to talk about..." Eren announced, seeming anxious."Wait, I haven't even offered you something to eat or drink.""I'm fine, thank you.""Okay. What did you want to talk about?""... I love your daughter and we've been together for a long time. These three years apart made me realise that I wouldn't want, or more like I wouldn't be able to live without her. She always makes me feel like the luckiest guy, I want to return the favour. So, I'm planning... to propose but I came to ask for your blessing first..." he muttered nervously. "I don't plan on proposing anytime soon, but maybe after I get settled in and everything goes back to how it was before I moved away.""As much as I don't want (Y/N) taken away from me, I wouldn't mind if she marries you. She obviously loves you as well and I want her to be happy as much as you do. So... you have my blessing," the raven-haired man gave the brunette a look that calmed his nerves as he let out a relieved sigh. Your dad stood up and your boyfriend did the same as they shook hands. "Thank you so much.""I know I said this at the beginning of your relationship, but, hurt her and you'll regret it.""I'll never hurt her, I'm always going to be there to protect her.""I can't believe that you saving her from a bully led to this.""I'm glad we came this far," the younger male grinned. "Anyway, I think I should go since I'm meant to meet up with (Y/N) during her lunch break."The older (but shorter) male nodded, walking Eren to the door. "... Eren, thank you for being there with (Y/N) and making her happy," your dad suddenly said, surprising the other male who simply grinned."Of course. I only want to see her smiling."Both males bid farewell, one feeling at ease and elated as the other was thankful, happy and slightly upset.Seeing as how everything with you and Eren was going smooth and there seemed to be no signs that you'll break up, you might be able to spend several more years together, keeping each other safe and happy.

Armin x Reader - Flaming Passion“Eren, what am I supposed to do?”“Relax, Armin. (F/N) will forgive you after a while.”Armin bit his fingernails, his nerves working up a fit. “It’s different this time. She’s going to leave me. I can feel it in my bones.”A rattling sigh drifted down the line. Armin clutched the phone to his ear like a lifeline. “I know she loves those over-the-top apologies in romance dramas. Is there anything that you and Mikasa watched that can help me?”Eren hummed in thought. “There was this one ridiculous scene I watched recently.”“What is it? What did they do?”“The guy wanted to apologize for being a loud jerk. So he invited her over for dinner and threw petals all along the way from the entrance to where he was. There was some freaking balloon arch where he stood. Oh, and candles. So many candles on the floor and on the table.”“Candles,” Armin murmured. “I can do that.”“Yeah, maybe that will work.”“Okay, I’ll do it. It’s worth a shot.” Armin sucked in a long breath. “Thanks, Eren.”“No problem. Anything for you, man. I’m so thankful Mikasa doesn’t like all those crap.”Chuckling, Armin shook his head. “She would probably hit you on the head instead.”“Yeah, she would. Anyway, I gotta go. Talk to you later.”“See you.”Armin hung up. He surveyed his spacious loft apartment, imagining how he could decorate it. Balloons could hang from the railing and down the staircase. He had a bunch of candles for emergency purposes but he could run out to the store and get more. Petals, he could get from the same store. He frowned. (F/N) liked it when he went the extra mile. What else could he do that wouldn’t take too long to get? Then, it hit him. With a solid strategy in mind, he headed down to the store, grabbed all the necessary equipment, and went back to his apartment. He started with the balloons first, inflating them painstakingly with his own mouth. His weak lungs burned with the effort but it had to be done. Wheezing, he tied all of them along the staircase and railings. Next were the candles. He laid them out in a line to form a pathway from his door. Then, he sprinkled the petals along the pathway. Now, for the final touches. He hid his assortment of stand fans behind potted plants, bookshelves, and cabinets while making sure that the generated wind would still reach the pathway. It was tedious, tedious, tedious work that he absolutely hated doing. Every time the fan was directed an inch too low, it would blow away his petals and snuff out the candles. He scurried back and forth more than a hundred times before he hit the sweet spot. By that time, his sweat-drenched shirt was sticking to his skin. He quickly jumped into the shower, put on a decent long-sleeved shirt and pants, and headed back down again. (F/N) had told him she would pop by to get her things before she went to the gala. She should be here anytime now.A chime of the doorbell sent a flutter of anxiety down Armin’s spine. Speak of the devil- he corrected himself - his angel. “The door’s unlocked,” he called out. “Come in.”He straightened his back and exhaled a short breath. His heart pumped like a racecar on its last legs. This was it.The sound of heels on marble resonated in the apartment. He put on his best apologetic smile, his fingers clutching a small bouquet of flowers.(F/N) stepped into view. Armin’s breath was stolen away. She looked magnificent in that flowing yellow gown. Her face was framed by dancing strands of hair blown by the artificially generated wind from his stand fans. When (F/N) saw the intricate pathway he had laid out, her eyes widened in pleasant surprise and she smiled. A beautiful smile that stopped his heart. His lips curled up in relief. She would forgive him, wouldn’t she?She walked towards him in almost slow motion and he savored every second of it. His plan worked! And boy, was it a gorgeous plan. His gaze trailed down from her lovely eyes crinkled in adoration to her plump lips smiling for him. He lingered on her decent cleavage and then his gaze dropped down to her shapely legs framed by the long gown blowing in the wind and covering the candle-lit pathway-Was the yellow material aglow… with fire?!Armin’s eyes widened in terror. He had overestimated the amount of generated wind! The yellow gown must have been made especially for catching fire because, in a matter of seconds, the flames from the candles had licked away the trailing material and edged their way up to (F/N)’s rear!He rushed towards (F/N), running like someone had set him on fire. (F/N)’s smile grew wider, imagining that he would grab her and spin her around. When his arms wrapped around her thin waist, she gasped in pleasure. He lifted her up but instead of spinning her in a horizontal circle, he spun her straight to the floor. Landing with a loud thump that might have cracked her spine, (F/N) yipped in agony. Armin rolled her around and around until she realized with horror that a burning sensation was spreading across her ass.“Armin, what the hell are you doing?” she screamed in anger and pain.“Your gown was turning into a flaming ball of fire!” “Wha- Get off me!”As she struggled in his stifling embrace, Armin raised his hand and brought it down on her behind. She yelped, “What are you doing now??”“Can’t you feel the fire??”“Yes, I can!” Shoving him off her, she struggled to her feet and appraised what was left of her gown and her rear. Her mouth fell open at the dangling material that now hung just above her darkened underwear. Red fury bloomed across her cheeks. She pointed an accusing finger at the cowering Armin. “I don’t know what gave you the idea to do this but this is it! We’re over!”With that, she stormed out of the apartment, leaving a stunned and traumatized Armin frozen to the spot. He surveyed the disaster area. Blackened petals were strewn on the floor, candle wax dripped all over it, and a pile of yellow gown ash gathered at his feet.Groaning, he tilted his head back and squeezed his eyes shut. If anyone were to look at his pained, innocent face, they would think he was bemoaning the loss of (F/N) or dreading the cleanup of his apartment. But he only had one thought in his mind.He was going to kill Eren before Mikasa did.

Jean x Reader I Love HimThere were hands roaming your figure, appreciating every curve and crease. There were lips moulded with yours, a few nibbles here and there as tongues danced to a silent melody. There were soft, loving whispers exchanged and two different pairs of eyes glistening in the candlelit corridor, glinting with so much adoration. It was these times of the night that the both of you would cherish, when no one was around, when all worries of the world dissipated, when you could embrace and love one another. No one was there to disturb you, and you just hoped nobody would be there to scold you for being out of your rooms this late."We should go back to our rooms," the taller male told you quietly, forehead resting upon yours."Just... Can we just stay like this for a few more minutes? Please," you responded in the same timbre as him."Of course, princess."A smile snuck onto your lips when you stepped closer to him for a hug, and he gladly accepted, holding you tight as he left small kisses to the top of your head as his digits traced patterns on your back. Your hands were tightly gripping the back of his shirt, while your cheek was squished against his chest and your eyes were concealed. The only sound was your light breathing mingling with his as you both stood there, revelling in each other's warmth.Moments later, you parted from him and stared up at him to find hazel hues gazing at you tenderly before he pecked your nose and cupped your cheek."I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"You nodded, leaning into his touch and tiptoeing for a short kiss prior to both of you going to your own rooms. When you closed the door as quietly as you could and got into bed, silver orbs from the bed opposite to yours met yours, slightly scaring you."You okay, Mikasa?" you asked in a hushed voice."Where were you?""With Jean. Did I wake you up?"She shook her head. "I was awake, anyway. Couldn't sleep.""Is everything okay?""Yeah. You know, just can't sleep peacefully here, especially after the things we've gone through.""Want to talk about it?""No, it's fine. You should get some sleep.""You should, too. Goodnight, Mikasa."The raven-haired female uttered the same words back before you drifted off, escaping from reality and dreaming of things that will never be. You wished you could happily be with Jean, without worrying about losing each other. And wished there was only peace. However, when you were awoken from your slumber, you were brought back to the cruel world, filled with monsters, agony and death. After freshening up and getting ready, you and your friends made your way to the mess hall, bumping into some of the boys, who were too energetic for the morning. There was still sleep buried in the corners of your eyes, causing you to yawn as you strolled beside your boyfriend, your fingers laced with his. Though, before you entered the mess hall, you had pulled away from him with an apologetic look, but he understood. He understood that you didn't want someone to know about your relationship. And you loved and appreciated that he was still willing to be with you, even though you had to keep it a secret from a few. Well, it wasn't really a few, it was more like one person.Maybe he didn't mind because you still spent your time with him, laughing with him, joking with him, and talking about everything with him. You would always go to him first when something good happened, or when you were in need of comfort. But whenever he comforted you, it would have to be behind closed doors. Not because it leads to anything inappropriate, but because you can't publicly show affection to each other when people are watching. It's too risky. And that is the reason why you would mainly meet up at night, while everyone is asleep. At breakfast, you had been in between Connie and Jean, so it was kind of a fun meal. When you had training, you sparred with Mikasa, and neither of you had gotten close to winning, seeing as how you were as strong as each other. And after that, you had to clean the stables with Connie and Armin. Finally, after hours of cleaning, the three of you were done cleaning the stables just before dinner. The other two left to go to the mess hall, while you noticed Jean standing a few steps away."Hey," you greeted with a grin. "I almost didn't recognise you since there are so many other horses here," you teased."I hate you." He rolled his eyes as you giggled and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Anyway, come with me. I want to show you something.""You sound very dodgy. Tell me what it is first.""Just come. I promise you'll like it."With a nod, you followed him to a place that was a short distance away from the building. He settled onto the grass, sheltered by a single tree and he gestured for you to join him. When you sat beside him, he draped an arm over your shoulders and gently urged you to rest your head on his shoulder."I wanted to show you the sunset. It looks really nice from this spot. And I know how much you love sunsets.""Aw, baby, thank you," you cooed, lifting your head to peck his lips before you admired his visage in the orange light that enhanced the colour of his eyes and made him look even more handsome. Since you were staring for too long, a light hue of pink dusted onto his skin."D-do I have something on my face?""Nope. You just look really pretty.""Pretty? I'm not pretty," he snorted, trying to brush off his embarrassment."Yes, you are. You're my pretty boy," you beamed, cupping his face with both of your hands and moulding your lips with his. There was a soft sigh that emanated from his mouth as he moved his hands to entangle them in your hair. He flicked his tongue against your lips, asking for an entrance, and you were about to allow him before realising that anyone could catch you here. So, begrudgingly, you parted from him. "Someone could see us," you whispered, apologetically. But he didn't respond as he gulped and stared at something behind you, seeming as if he saw a ghost. "Jean...?"Before he spoke, you heard footsteps approach you, and since your boyfriend looked terrified, there was only one person you could guess who it was.Your father.Whipping your head around, you slightly widened your eyes, your heart beating a bit faster when you noticed the dark glint in those grey hues. Both of you stood up and saluted, seeing as how he was your superior, but he was quick to dismiss it, glaring at the male and occasionally at you. You thought that he was going to kill Jean or something, and you knew if he wanted to, he could and would with no hesitation.Moments went by in silence and it was killing you, it made you more nervous and you had no idea what was going to happen."Jean," he finally spoke, causing him to flinch as he stuttered out a 'yes, sir'. "You aren't allowed to be with (Y/N) anymore. In fact, I don't even want to see you looking at her. If you do, just know there will be severe consequences.""Wh--" Before Jean could reply, you cut him off and stepped forward, feeling your insides boil as you clenched your fists."You can't do that. You can't stop us from being in a relationship, or even friends," you snapped."I can. As your father and superior, I'm demanding that he stays away from you. I don't want him to be anywhere near you.""Why? What's so bad about him? How are you going to split us up like this?""He's a brat that doesn't deserve you. I'm just protecting you.""You don't even know what he's like," you retorted, trying your best to keep calm. Before you were going to continue, you turned to Jean, telling him to go to the mess hall since you didn't want him to have to witness the argument. "I'm not going to let you break us up.""I don't care if you like it or not. I'm not allowing you to stay with him.""You have no right to do that!" You finally broke, letting your anger out. "I don't give a f*ck about what you say, I'm staying in the relationship! No matter how much you despise him, for whatever sh*tty reason!""Don't f*cking talk to me like that," his voice was low, dangerous, full of venom. "And I don't understand what you see in him. He's probably just going to hurt you in the end. I doubt he even knows how to treat you right. He's just a brat that I don't want you to be involved with. End of.""You can't stop me. No matter what you do, you can't stop me from loving him.""'Love'?" he repeated."Yes, 'love'. Something that you've probably never experienced, considering the fact that mother left you," you spat, crossing your arms over your chest. You were about to take your leave, but he gripped your bicep, fingers digging into your skin."Say that again to my f*cking face, you f*cking brat.""It's like you don't want me to find someone, just because you don't have anyone. Or you don't want me to have happiness. You just want to ruin everything for me, don't you?""All I want for you is happiness! I just don't think you'll find it by dating that brat!""I was happy with him! The only thing stopping me from being happy right now, is you! Now, let go of me!""Not until you say you'll break up with him.""That's never going to happen! For f*ck's sake, this is why I didn't want you to find out since you aren't the most supportive father."Every sentence you spoke made him feel like his heart was being shred, slowly and painfully. You don't think he's a good and supportive father? Shred. He's the one making you unhappy? Shred. But he was almost incapable of showing emotions, such as sadness, so he expressed it through anger."You know what, go do whatever the f*ck you want. Don't come crying to me if he breaks your heart.""I wouldn't go to you, anyway, because he isn't going to break my heart, unlike someone else," you muttered, trudging away from him.You weren't going to eat, you didn't have an appetite, so you just went straight to the girls' room, plopping face down onto your bed and cursing under your breath.About twenty minutes later, the girls entered the room, along with a few of the boys, probably to play some game that you weren't in the mood for.The first ones to speak to you were Armin and Mikasa, sitting beside you on your bed, while the others settled on the floor."What happened? You look upset and you didn't come to dinner," the blonde stated."I just got into a small fight with my dad," you told him quietly."About what?""He found out about mine and Jean's relationship. It was my fault." Your eyes were gazing at the ground before flickering up to meet your beloved's eyes when he stepped inside. Almost immediately, you stood up and threw yourself into his arms, letting out the few tears that you've been holding in. "I'm sorry, Jean.""Hey, hey, come on," he spoke softly, leading you out of the room to have some privacy. "There's nothing for you to apologise for, baby.""Y-you're probably going to go through hell because of him. Because of me.""(Y/N), my love, look at me." His hands tilted your head upwards as his thumbs brushed away your tears. "Nothing's your fault, okay? He was eventually going to find out, no matter how much we tried to stay hidden. He'll warm up and everything will be fine.""... I feel s-so bad because o-of what I said t-to h-him.""Hey, calm down first. Then, we can talk, okay?" he said, and you nodded before hiding your face in his chest, while he soothed you, hushing your sobs and gently rubbing your back.Soon, your tears were gone and your breathing was steady, so both of you went back inside to sit on your bed, away from the others. He had tugged you onto his lap and you rested your head on his shoulder as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head."Do you want to talk about it now?""Yeah," you sighed shakily before explaining everything to him. "... Jean, even if he tells you to, you won't break up with me, right? Please, don't. I love you. I love you so much.""Princess, you have nothing to worry about. I won't ever break up with you, no matter what because I love you, too.""Thank you, baby," you whispered, leaning your forehead against his."What are you going to do now, though? With your dad.""I don't know. I want to apologise for what I said to him, but I don't want to talk to him because I feel like we'll just argue again.""You don't have to force yourself to talk to him. And he might talk to you first, anyway.""True--""Hey, guys?" Connie called over to you two. "Are you going to join?"The male glanced at you questioningly and you gave a nod and shrug before you both stood and joined your friends, distracting yourself with the game.~/~For the past few weeks, you have sort of been giving Levi, your father, the silent treatment since you didn't want to talk to him yet. You didn't want to fight and you didn't want to hear what he has to say because you know it will just upset you further. The only interaction you have had with him is during training, but he's talking to his whole squad, not just you. And, obviously getting stubborn traits from him, you didn't fail in your plan to avoid him. He's tried talking to you, but you always seem to be able to evade him. And to spite him, you've made sure that he can see you and Jean hanging out, maybe some affection being shown as well.An example is right now.You and Jean were strolling through the corridors to get to the library, when your dad was walking past. So, you had grabbed your boyfriend and kissed him smack on the lips, tugging at his locks to get a reaction from him and you earned a small groan. In response, you got a click of the tongue and a mutter under his breath before he continued his way to his office or wherever. And Jean wasn't complaining that you would kiss him out of nowhere since he had nothing to hide anymore, so he doesn't have the fear of getting caught. When you pulled away, there was a smirk on your boyfriend's lips. "F*ck, (Y/N), if you keep this up, I'm not going to be able to hold back anymore." Then, when you finally reached the library, he was more serious. "I think you should talk to him now.""No," you simply said, looking for a book as he followed you."God, you're both so stubborn," he muttered, shaking his head."He's my father, so obviously, I'm stubborn.""But it's been more than a month already. You can't keep avoiding him. And people hate that the Corporal's more grumpy.""It's his own fault for saying that sh*t.""And you didn't say rude things?""He started it!"you exclaimed."You aren't a child, (Y/N). It's not a matter of who started what. And obviously, I'm annoyed about what he was trying to do, but don't hold grudges. Forgive each other.""Easier said than done. You know me. You know my dad. You know that neither of us are going to break this easily.""What if I dragged you to his office to talk to him?""I will knee you in your groin," you threatened, finally picking a book and sitting down."Then, we can't have children.""Children?" you repeated, almost choking on your own spit."You don't want any?""I mean... I've never really thought about it. And in this world? I wouldn't want to bring innocent humans into it.""How about after, or if, the titans are gone? We can live together in peace, get married, have kids. And whatever else you'd want.""I'd like that," you smiled softly, taking his hand in yours.Unbeknownst to both of you, the raven-haired male had been watching you, eyes softening when he witnessed that Jean treats you right, and when he saw how much you loved each other.Maybe he is good enough for you and wouldn't break your heart."I doubt you and your dad are going to make up by that time," Jean joked, causing you to playfully roll your eyes."... What if one of us don't make it alive? Me and you," you mumbled."Princess, there's nothing for you to worry about. You're an Ackerman - you're so much stronger than most of us. I've put my trust in you, in case anything goes wrong. And you can put your trust in me, because I'm always going to be here to protect you.""And, so am I," another voice entered the conversation, causing both of you to snap your heads towards it. There, you found your father gazing at you with an expression only you could read. Love, guilt, reassurance. "I'm sorry. For what I said. I was just being overprotective, but I should let you do what you want because I know you'll make the right decisions."After taking in his words, you spoke," I'm sorry, too. I didn't mean anything I said, except the fact that I'm not breaking up with Jean.""But you're right... I'm not the most supportive father.""No, dad, don't say that," you told him, standing up and stepping towards him. "You've always been here for me, helping and supporting me. You always make me happy. You're the best dad I could wish for. I'm so sorry I said all that sh*t. And everything else I said shouldn't have been said.""Corporal, when I see how you are with (Y/N), I can tell you're a great father. And you're like that with some scouts, too, you're always helping us. So, don't think that you're a crap father or something.""Thank you, both of you."A single tear dropped from your eye when you chucked yourself into Levi's arms, feeling his arms envelop you. He kissed your forehead and whispered three words only for you to hear, while you murmured the same words back to him."Stop crying," the raven said, brushing away your tears."I'm so sorry.""It's in the past now. Focus on the future.""... How much of our conversation did you hear?" Jean questioned, cautiously."Most of it. And I'd be happy to give my daughter away to you."

Reiner x Reader Repairman (Modern AU)Muscles flexed underneath the fabric of a simple t-shirt that fit so perfectly. It almost made my mouth water as I stood behind the blonde, gazing at his back that was just as attractive as his torso. His biceps looked as if they would rip the short sleeves of the shirt, and I would have no problem because that meant I would be able to see more of it.He was currently fixing my blocked drain. But several times before, he has come before to fix anything that I can't (or can, but can't be bothered). And damn, does he look hot fixing anything. Literally anything. Even if it was just switching some wires. As I was too busy ogling him, he had stood up from his crouching position and faced me, a smirk edging onto his lips when he noticed that I was stuck in a daze. There was a ruffle to my hair before words were heard. "I'm convinced you ruin your home just so you can see me."Playfully rolling my eyes, I replied with a cocked eyebrow, "And I'm convinced that the things that I need repaired aren't always assigned to you, so you take it from your co-workers, just so you can see me.""I feel attacked. How did you know?""Oh? It's true? I was only joking, but I have to say that I am flattered," I said, mirroring his smirk."Well, who would want to miss out on a chance of seeing you, angel?"If there was an audience, it would be clear to them that there was a lot of tension between us two. Sexual tension, to be precise. But neither of us made a move for a reason I didn't know of. Maybe because I was simply a woman who was incompetent and didn't know the first thing about repair. But, the fact that he actually takes the jobs from his co-workers made my heart go 'poof'."Hm. You're right. I'm just too hot that you can't resist me, huh?"A velvety, deep chuckle rumbled in the depths of his throat. That made my heart go 'poof' again. "Quite true, gorgeous. However, I do like how you make your coffee as well.""Oh, wait. I forgot to make it for you today.""It's because you were too busy drooling over my back."I snorted and tried holding back my embarrassment by rolling my eyes. "Don't get so cocky. Anyway, I'll quickly make a cup. I need to pay you back for all the times you've fixed stuff.""It's fine, angel. You already do pay. With money," he pointed out like it was the most obvious thing. And it seemed that I had forgotten about that fact. But, still, if making coffee meant he would stay longer, I will make him as many cups of coffee he'd like."Whatever. I'm still going to make some.""If we were to get married, I would have the pleasure of drinking your coffee everyday, right?"I almost choked on my own spit as my eyes widened. Though, before I turned my head to face him, I put on a poker face. "Of course, you would. But, key word: if.""I'm sure instead of that, you'll just find something to break everyday, so you can see me and make me coffee."As I continued to make two cups of coffee, I laughed softly (he wasn't exactly wrong since neither of us have taken a step further, and because of that, there is no chance of us getting together). "And you'll take the jobs from your co-workers.""Of course. I wouldn't want any of them coming after you.""Well, you haven't gotten me yet, so I just might end up going out with your friends.""Yet," he repeated, with some emphasis, that smirk of his appearing again. "We don't even know each other's names.""Oh, yeah. Well, I'm (Y/N) (L/N).""Such a pretty name. But I prefer 'angel' because it suits you more. Anyway, Reiner Braun.""Now, I don't have to keep calling you 'hot repairman' in my head," I joked, passing him a mug that contained the hot beverage."Thank you - for the coffee and the compliment.""Anytime," I grinned before looking at the time on my phone. I had to get to work soon. After fifteen minutes, wherein we conversed (mainly flirted) and finished our coffees, I announced that I had to leave for work. So, he packed away his equipment, while I got my bag and jacket, making sure we both had everything we needed. He followed me to the front door and I allowed him to exit as I stepped out after him, closing and locking my door."I guess I'll see you in a few weeks time when I break something else," I smiled."Or we could see each other earlier, maybe the weekend, at a restaurant or something," Reiner suggested, auburn hues twinkling brighter than usual because of the sun beaming down on us.Gosh, he looked like an angel, right there and all I wanted was to stare at him."Is that a date?" I inquired, biting my lower lip to keep back the grin that threatened to leap onto my lips."Yes. I wrote my number down on a piece of tissue on your table. I expect to hear from you very soon.""Okay. I'll text you when I get back from work.""Good girl. I'll see you later, then, angel," he hummed as he stood outside his van."Bye, Reiner," I said, quickly pecking his cheek before going to my car and immediately getting inside. My heart was beating so rapidly I thought it was going to jump out of my chest.Extended ending (takes place a few months later):"Hey." A brawny male, a smirk, a wink, and a heart going 'poof'."Hi, Reiner. Reiner's co-worker," I greeted, gazing at the male I've never seen before beside him that had his hair in a manbun. Just like you would always ogle Reiner, you couldn't stop staring at this guy's eyes. Like how were they so beautiful? They have to be contacts. They can't be real. Are they? Well, why would he wear contacts to work?"Going to let us in, angel?""Hm? Oh, sorry, yeah." I widened the door and stepped to the side, allowing both attractive males inside. The blonde pressed a kiss to my forehead before I led them to my kitchen since my washing machine decided to stop working a couple of days ago. And apparently they needed two men for the job. Don't ask me why, I have no idea. But I wasn't complaining because this second guy was beautiful. Obviously, I wasn't going to move onto him since I now had a boyfriend who was very much attractive and I liked him a lot. While they got to work, I went to have a shower since I may have only woken up minutes before they came. Fortunately, I didn't have work. Once I was out of the shower, I decided to make them some coffee, asking the one with brown hair how he likes his coffee - with milk and two teaspoons of sugar. Once it was done, I passed both of them their mugs, and they thanked me as they decided to take a short break."So, you're Reiner's girlfriend - (Y/N)?""Yep," I grinned. "And you are?" I need to know this guy with the beautiful eyes' name. "Eren.""It's nice to meet you, Eren."Should I ask if his eyes are real? I thought. No, that's weird. I'll ask Reiner later. The two males spoke, and I chimed in from time to time, though, my attention was mainly on the f*cking eyes. I couldn't tear my own eyes away. It's like this was going to be the last time I see them (but if he's Reiner's friend, it probably won't be).Unbeknownst to me, my boyfriend had glanced at me a couple of times, knowing I was staring at Eren. There was only a speck of jealousy that he kept at bay since he knew I wouldn't cheat on him or anything like that. It was just the fact that I was staring at him like I was so mesmerised. When they finished their coffee, I took their mugs and went to the sink to wash them. That's when I felt someone lingering behind me before arms caged me against the counter, and a torso barely brushed against my back. I ceased my actions, tilting my head to the side to face Reiner, whose breath caressed my neck. Behind him, I could see the beautiful side profile of Eren, who was concentrated on fixing my washing machine."Stop looking at him," he whispered, and I did as he said, feeling guilty."I'm sorry... But, seriously, are all repairmen sexy or something? Because then, sign me up."A scowl etched onto his features as he grabbed my wrist and dragged me to my bedroom, pinning me to the door. There was a dangerous flicker in his hazel orbs that I could notice when his face was mere inches from mine. I swallowed down my urge to kiss the living daylights out of him."Babe, what are you doing? He needs your help. And we can't leave him alone. What if he steals something?"His voice was low and husky, and it gave you goosebumps when he spoke, "Oh, I don't intend on letting him take anything that's mine... That includes you."
